Something that has puzzled me over my time here is when scouting opponents offense in (gameplanning). When you choose number of recent games, in this case I choose one game, and it shows that a chosen play is "not in playbook". It also states that this particular play has been run a # of times at a certain avg. per yard?. How can it not be in playbook when my opponent has clearly run said play numerous times?

Is that on the player card? The player card shows you the stats for your team with that play, not your opponent (even if you open it on the scouting page). The only place your opponent's information is displayed is on the actual scout page.

When it says it's 'not in playbook', it means it's not in your playbook. Basically, if it's a really good play that you want to use, it's telling you that's it's not available for you to use.

I have a link (hope it works) to my gameplanning and i am scouting his offense, Most recent play's is set to one. I have his HB counter play open, it says that play is not in his playbook, however the play(beside open sub-window) says he ran it 1 time for 11.5 yards in his last game?
It is kinda funky if i am not undertanding something after 6 years in 3 different leauges and doing fairly well at that. Wouldnt suprise tho, I am a little thick-headed... LOL

Only you (and JDB of course) can see your gameplanning / depth chart pages.

If you have the play card up, it is NOT showing your opponent's stats, but yours. You only see your opponent's stats on the page, not the cards.

Ok then... why would my stats show up under gameplanning when I am scouting his offense (on scout offense tab). My stats understandably show up under offense plays selection. I will drop this subject if I am annoying everyone...

Good question. I don't know why it is that way, only that it is.
