There are a lot of MFN players who are going with the one free team deal. I understand tha idea of not wanting to pay for something that was and is still free, that is a common trait.

But, if you really enjoy the game, dont you think you should help support it? MFN has lost a lot of players the past year, we are lucky to have the very few full or near full leagues that are alive and well.

How much is it worth to you? Compared to other things that you spend on. One drink at the bar, one burger, one sandwich, and many other things that are 10 bucks or less that the cost of will cover the enjoyment that you are getting from playing this game.

Your subscription supports JDavid's effort and time, which has been huge to date, in my opinion and others. So pony up! it does not cost much to support this game. And get more than one team, we need you in the Elite League, which is the only league that has a full play selection and diverse use rule in MFN. Check it out .... https://theefl.myfootballnow.com/ We have had 6 new players join in the past day!

Add ...... Dont want to sound like there is low or not enough support, there are many that are subscribing/paying, you can see by those who have more than one team. It would just help to increase it. You are helping to make the difference and supporting the improvement and development of MFN, appreciate you.

I was one of the "one team free" players until I decided how much fun it would be to own another team. I'm on a very fixed income and to me $5 a month is a lot of money. However, I'm over 60, don't get out much, so this game is a godsend to me because it keeps my brain sharp, keeps my competitive spirit alive, I get to meet new people, and fills my life with something to look forward to three nights a week. I look forward to game nights to see how my team played. Where can you find so much fun for 12 nights a month for only $5??? Plus, for only $5, you can own as many teams as you like!!! It's a great deal for you and s great way to show your support for the person who makes all this fun possible!

100% to both of these posts. Tremendous entertainment value for the cost. (What is more fun than our hopefulness during the Rookie Draft as we await the Training Camp sim to see how our picks worked out?)

Skol!

I agree with everyone's posts.

This is a fun game to play and the only way to make this game even better, is to invest some of your money. I appreciate all of JDB's time and effort in creating such a enjoyable game to play. Thank you.

And thank you Grandad for being such an evolved and devoted member. I'm looking forward to playing in and building up The Elite Football League, where the rules align with how the game of football should be played.

I have no problem with the subscription model. JDB should get something for his work.

Since joining in 2016, I've bought nearly $150 (USD) in credits. My intention was to keep subscribing, but changed my mind. I'm now running one team, and considering leaving.

My gripe is the weight/position exploit. A nine year old who finds the exploit could beat a Bill Belichik using sound football tactics. That's not football, and it's unfair to new players who don't stand a chance until they learn the exploit and start using it.

I know some leagues put rules in place to govern this, but it shouldn't be on the commissioners, and isn't always caught. The one team I kept is in a league that allows the exploit, but it's my favorite team. I plan hold them for two more seasons, and if the exploit isn't at least addressed I'll be leaving the game. (8 1/2 years was a pretty good run though.)

I wont pay for a game just because I used to love it, or might love it again in the future. I'll sub again if that one issue is fixed before I decide to leave.

As far as affiliates, It might help some. I've always tried to bring in my football loving friends anyway, but incentive is always a good thing.
