It's not the NFL but we can replicate some of the better features of the NFL, like scores that are not arcade-like

What would the NFL look like if some of the teams didn't game plan?

Or if they couldn't make any changes to their plan once the game started?

My guess is the numbers would look a lot more like an arena league or college/high school than they do now.

One of the most important things in the NFL are in-game adjustments.

MFN is NOT the NFL.

So why the whining about 20 sacks a game? ITS MFN NOT NFL! This coming from the Great War Eagle who said 4 months ago he dropped most of his teams and was considering leaving mfn altogether if the blitzing didn't get fixed. Well maybe some of us want more realistic QB play... so it's okay to whine about blitzing, but not about QBs???

Many of the people on here want to apply NFL when they want, but then apply MFN in another area.

I question the reasoning behind the hotfix. If it raises everyone the same percent, then why mess with it? If it raised the mediocre to a higher level, while the better QB stay close to the same, I fail to see how that's fair. Also, I would think hot fixes should be implemented in the beta leagues first to see how they affect game play. It's not right that a hotfix which may have unintended consequences harms a team's result. I think, probably in the minority, that a hotfix should be implemented after the season. Certainly not the last game of a season, but maybe I'm off base. Just my two cents.

I never said the blitzing issue needed to be addressed so MFN would have stats more like the NFL. I think it needed to be addressed because the game was becoming unplayable, definitely unenjoyable.

I don't mind trying to have the actual game play more closely resemble the NFL, but the stats will never resemble the NFL because of many, many reasons.

Also, I wasn't trying to be critical, just pointing out a few of the reasons why the stats in MFN will never be like those in the NFL.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

I didn't ever see blitzing as a huge problem in my opinion and short 4 months. It's the use of under weight spd guys who were wrecking the game.

I'm still on the fence about the QB play. This stupid hot fix in weak 16 has me falling off the fence though. I spent 45-60 min developing a game plan that has been locking teams down to have it destroyed by a stupid hot fix that changes the game. After the season? Yeah sure whatever. During the season is total bs and uncalled for! I do not have time to be spending an hr+ at the end of the season developing another defensive gameplan at the end of the season and hope it works. JDB just wasted my time and if this is how this game works then I'm out.

The reason was because the completion rate was one of the fixes addressed in 0.4.1, but the other hot fixes reduced it. I think 0.4.1 is stable now, finally, and don't plan on making any other non-critical fixes to it.

It may have been a better idea to wait another season to release it, but I still think it was the right thing to do (but letting other leagues into it early probably was not, because those are the leagues where the hot fixes hit in the meat of the season) because the blitz issue was on the border of getting out of control. Hopefully the next release won't take as long to develop and there won't be some exploits that I'm chasing again (although I suspect that there will be some discovered again)

The only change in this hot fix was a slight increase to the completion probability - so instead of a 45% chance a pass was completed, maybe it was a 53% chance. Nothing else changed, including the probability of an interception or other defensive attributes, and definitely nothing in secondary coverage. I suspect if the same game was simmed pre-hot-fix the results would be similar.

In the future I will time the release to the beginning of MFN-1's preseason and will not let any other leagues get the release early like I did this time. Truly, that was the biggest misstep on this release, if I hadn't done that you would still be in 0.4 in that league.

just remember that so you wont repeat the mistake again.

will have to give you props for at least admitting your misstep on the release.

How did the hotfix affect this game? His QB threw for 209 yds and 2 picks. The hotfix didn't cause the 170 yds rushing or the 3 TOs. It's just a loss. Probably won't have changed before the hotfix anyway. Happens. give War Eagles some props.

You are an idiot. Watch the game. The QB went nuts in the first half and my sacks were way down.

Also, you had nothing to say until you lost to me who didn't gameplan. Salty now???

I only used wareagle's own words against him. He responded like a champ and I have much respect after his response. Then here comes mr late to the party with an idiot response...
