This kind of stuff needs to be addressed

Grindel Swindlers 24 Boston Ponzis 27 OT

WOW!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!

This is one of the top teams in the league getting beat by the worst team in the league, which just so happens to be an AI team. https://anarchy.myfootballnow.com/

My evaluation: The AI can put a better game plan together than a human can. Of course this is also combined with the "rolls" of the engine. Let's not forget that this "same" AI cannot draft any player that legitimately helps a team for which it drafts.

I feel like this sort of stuff happens in real, professional sports all the time. In my anecdotal experience it seems like it's easy as a human to dominate the AI teams on this site, however, I would love to know if JDB has any numbers on this.

I wouldn't go around trying to completely revamp the code to prevent big upsets...that's what makes this game fun IMO

I saw a lot of blitzes from you. Their qb is a 95 . And the ai plan s are only bad to the point selecting plays that are not as effective . .....when it comes to the overuse penalty the ai plans are decent. And really a 90 a 80 and a 70 is a decent draft. So it take about eight games for a team to build up enough play familiarity between each other , but Defensively I had some playoff teams behind an all AI gameplan . The defense one is better than the offensive one. Only because some offensivemplays ****. You really got to send the defense in to overuse situations . I have won games in 75 with ai game plans. I have won games without scouting . ....I have won a championship without every logging in. (Well, only to gloat). I would chalk this one up to rng. But I think you were tip toeing the overuse penalty all game.

The AI plan is exactly what you get when you click 'load recommended' for everything.

My point is exactly that the RNG caused this. Overuse or not. A team that bad can beat the team with the winningest record at the time? That's my problem. That the computer randomly decided that I should have the most pitiful performance coupled with an exceptional performance from the opposing team and inevitably lose.

Ok. Fine. I guess I will accept this along with the fact that WR's still run sideline to sideline, the QB still doesn't throw to open WR's, the QB still throws into double/triple/quadruple coverage, and RB's that have 100 Avoid Fumble still fumble more than just rarely.

Wanna talk about the defense???? I'll save it for the next time I'm aggravated about something that I think needs fixed.

Yes, this is my opinion. Yes, I'm mad about it. Quit embellishing this game with bells and whistles and fix some of the gameplay issues. Then I won't get so upset. We're losing players and not gaining new ones. Something needs to happen before we lose more.

I agree with Crazy. I know the bells and whistles are nice, but in the long run, game engine tweaks will do much more for user retention as well as new user recruitment. I know it's more intensive, but that's my two cents. I think you do a great job JDB, just my thoughts...

Just to come at this from a different angle: I like the idea that any team can lose to any team on any day. Sometimes everything goes wrong, both in real football and in MFN. I like the unpredictability of it. I don't like losing any more than the next guy, but if I thought that there was NO CHANCE that I would lose, simply based on my team being better than the other, I'd lose interest pretty quick. I don't want to hammer an AI team 254-3, it's boring.

eyeballll, I lose to the AI teams more than I do actual players. I'm really starting to get sick of it.
