Counter-intuitively, heavier OL appear to be better at pass blocking than run blocking. Purely anecdotal, but I play most of my OL at RT anymore.

Thanks for the input seth - means a lot when a guru like yourself checks in. You'll know more about MFN success than I can ever dream of.

Can you give us your thoughts on o linemen playing out of position? For example: if a 78/80 guard with 85 pass blocking was plugged in at tackle where he's rated 46/75 will he just get abused? Or is the pass/run blocking rating the most important, regardless of the overall player rating? Still unclear if I should only look at individual skills (speed, strength, acceleration, blocking) and ignore overall ratings altogether. I know looking at trade value to evaluate players truth worth is pointless. Thank you again.

I haven't seen a drop off in production in playing OL "out of position". I've played all my OL at LG to see how they did at the lightest true OL weight, and now play them all at RT. Haven't seen differences.

But I also do things like play true weight TEs at WR with success, so I'm not the best judge.

I've had some centers play pretty well at guard, not sure if I've tried them at tackle. Is it really best just to get as many 90+ pass/run blocking guys as you can regardless of their "real" position or strength and plug them in everywhere?

I look at the following in order:

1) Pass Block
2) Acceleration
3) Strength
4) Run Block
5) Speed
6) Discipline

Awesome! That's just the kind of skill ranking I was looking for. Should be very helpful going into the draft and for other leagues going forward. Thanks again.
