Or defenders magically leaving their man and jumping 5-10 yards and getting an INT. Or QBs throwing into double and triple teams when it is obvious who is in single coverage.

My point is make the attributes actually mean something. 91 speed/91 accel should always outrun 81/55. I understand things happen in games like this but not on the level of consistency that it does.

They were talking about rating speed on the NFL Network Radio earlier this week. They were saying other than using game film, their 40 times and accel drills didn't mean as much as some teams put value on.

Their point was when players hit the combine they run the 40 for example, in shorts and tracks shoes. Not with pads, a helmet, with a football, cleats in the ground and fatigued. They are all pretty fresh with pristine conditions when they are putting down times. It was an interesting conversation.

I don't agree with this at all. If this was the reality, shitty rosters would be winning a ton of games because "they're cheating the system". And at least in this league, this is not happening.
