Just want to point out that the trade in the OP is going to go through. But this trade, which was much more fair, did not: https://paydirt.myfootballnow.com/forums/1/1184?page=1

Everyone says something different I can't keep up. Sorry, I meant no disrespect. When it come s to trades, please remember one thing. Nobody makes an offer to trade with you because he is trying to improve your team. Some offers are more fair than others, but the primary motivation for a GM to offer to trade with you is to improve his team - not yours. Having said that, I recommend that you focus first on learning how to game plan. Most GMs (myself included) often think that if they can only make one more trade for one more guy they will win the Super Bowl (or at least make the playoffs). Yet, for most GMs even making the playoffs consistently just doesn't happen. Season after season, it's mostly the same GMs who win the most games and make the playoffs. Anyway, my advice after you have a "feel" for how the game is played, then trade to your heart's content. Until, hold on to your draft choices. I understand that you have had some salary cap issues. Ride it out. Use the players you have (or can keep). Learn the ins and outs of game play. Ask questions. (There are some very experienced GMs who won't lead you astray on game play (although they might rip you off on a trade). ;-) |
