I'll tell you what... I'm still fairly new to MFN, but I'm going to be ready next season to come in and offer max contracts on anyone I want instead of trying to guess the market value. I've signed one player so far and feel I overpaid, but had the cash and needed his speed
FA in leagues with good GMs is a frenzy. Any player that actually hits the market with above average talent is going to get paid. Don’t look at it as NFL market value because that doesn’t exist here. Salary cap here is pretty flexible if you resign your core guys. Look at that RB Hobbs. Got like a 140 million deal. That’s huge.

That’s the guy I was referring to when I said I overpaid lol
I feel your frustration....I have all this cash...put offers on 10 players and couldn't get a single player and sometimes it's a mystery....I offered more money to a couple players and they still signed elsewhere.
Plus this free agent period was an anomaly....there isn't usually that much young talent out there (in this league anyway).
Guess I'll just stick to the draft, the talent level on my team is pretty much mediocre to garbage right now.
The good and bad of it is it’s not solely based on bonus anymore. You can offer a 3 yr 30 million contract with minimal bonus and land a guy before a 6 yr 40 mil max bonus. Best part is you can cut said player and not take much of a cap hit.
Now, it doesn’t always work like that but it happens more often then before where it was straight up bonus.
Even though I signed a few guys on fair deals and I still feel like I failed in the FA. There was a lot of talent and I don't think I have improved my roster. I was $7M short from signing QB Vincent Moses. I don't know what to do at QB now :(
Looks like Detroit is turning their roster over which leads to a free agency fury.
