I was recently asked by GM Warthog whether it is ok to trade the CB Dwight King to a team other than Atlanta? As you may recall, Beercloud froze both CB King and Atlanta's 1st rd draft choice until this season is over.
My interpretation of Beercloud's ruling was that the teams involved in the original trade could not do a trade with each other involving CB Dwight King and the frozen 1st rd draft choice until after the season is over. It was Beercloud's stated concern that the player/draft choice didn't end up going Cleveland/Atlanta in a round about way.
Provided that does not happen, I won't object or try to stop either team from still trying to trade those pieces this season provided it is not to each other. Of course, other GMs might still oppose any trade involving CB Dwight King or Atlanta's 1st rd draft choice for legitimate reasons. Therefore, as a reminder, each and every trade is still governed by the principle that it must be fair. Otherwise, the Competition Committee can and might elect to overturn it.
I am posting my viewpoint to allow for the league's GMs to see so that everyone who might have an interest at least has an opportunity to trade for CB King or Atlanta's 1st round draft choice (except for any trade between Cleveland and Atlanta for this assets) before the trading period expires.
Thanks for laying this out. I am assuming King cannot be traded to NYA either, as that was part of the original trade that got reversed. As of now, I am going forward with trading King to anyone except NYA and ATL. Is that correct?

WHYYYYYY? What original trade? I really do not understand this statement. Atlanta has nothing to do with th Original trade of King from Cleveland to some other team.... do i have any history with Cleveland? Do i have any history with round about trades? What are you guys want to do, reject all trades and after that frozen the players involved in those trades!?!? I do not have all the time in the world (lucky me i am still working these days..), i do a trade ones in awhile and like me for sure are many other GMs. If you guys will reject/froze all players and picks please let me know cause i will need to make a choice ..... As i see it is this way, Cleveland send King to some other team and you guys decided to reject the trade because a rule was broken, Cleveland send King to me and i accept the deal, King should be in my roster, period.

If I was voted admin the first thing I was going to do is immediately change the 1st round pick rule to read differently and then let King be traded to anybody. I never thought he should have left the Jets since I can't find anything wrong with the original trade. But it doesn't really matter what I would have done.
