GG Thread 1991
by Meatmen @ 10/11/2021 11:11 am
Welcome to 1991. I found this n Google and it seemed to me to sum up the way I feel about last season. I'm not going to rehash it. it's over and in the books. Thank you all for being in the league. You are ALL an important part of Paydirt. Please let me know how I can serve you better. I am eager to get the rules ironed out and we will vote on the issues during Preseason I would like to hear from as many as possible. it YOUR league. ........................................MM

Number 1991 relates to endings followed by new beginnings and is a 'humanitarian' vibration. ... Angel Number 1991 can be suggesting that some aspects are coming to a close and/or an important phase or cycle is coming to an end.

Good luck all to the new season!

Even if many predict a rebuild of the Falcons after 3 straight LCs, will not gonna happen this season..... and some say that the Falcons GM said ''what a heck is a rebuild, anyway?''

CJ has departed Paydirt and you can check out the reasons on the link below. I have decided to offer the Minnesaota franchised to any existing GM first. I know that a few of you have accepted the challenge of some pretty tough situations and I am very gratefu. I just kinda feel like CJ did a pretty Good job at a quick turn around (11-5) with a eam that had only 2 winning seasons in it's 21 year history. Don't get me wrong there is still plenty of work to do with the Vikings.

I will extend the oppertunity to any GM currently in Paydfirt through (10/17 RL) the day after training camp. The Team with the LOWEST ranking in the power rankings (#32...31..03) will get first prefference. HOWEVER, should a GM with a top tier team wish to avail himself of the oppertunity (#1..2..3..) that team would then be open to the lower ranked GM's.

This may be futile as I know so many of you have dedicated so mich to your teams over the seasons. I just thought it might be interesting. I just remember i the 1980 season when androwski (Miami/Wasington), awest (Seastle/Baltimore), and a few others swithed things up it seemed to refresh us a bit? It's up to you all. place your bids here. When the sim runso Sunday it's over and I will bring in a new GM.

I am thinking of asking Grandadb to rejoin us as I feel that everyone deserves an second chance. He and I have mended fences and if noone else has any objections I will extend an invitation to rejoin. Once we have determined the Fate of the Vikings.......................................................MM;(

Re: *** ANNOUNCEMENT *** Game engine 0.4.6 released!

I'm glad we have fixes to punt block exploits, but the greatly reduced effectiveness of passing should have been something that was tweaked more before 0.4.6 release.

Also, will private leagues have the option to stay on 0.4.5? I'm in a league where we have rules against exploiting punt blocks and most of us would prefer to stay on the higher-octane version of the game engine.

Even though I probably stand to personally gain from this, because it matches the way I play anyway, I would say no. I would rather it be possible to improve than to make everyone else mud like me.

I vote for the change.

I played in one of the test leagues, and IMO the positives outweigh the negatives.

If nothing else, the punt block exploit is gone, so admin doesn't have to worry about another situation like the one that brought me to this league.

Okay I will set up a poll and majority will rule for this season. Next season we will move forward and I'm not sure how many people knew of the switch. This will give everyone one more season to adjust their games, strategy, and get up to speed. I will set up the poll for voting in the morning.

Your looking at this as glass half empty. I saved him from being injured in game four of pre season. Thus he will only miss two or three regular season games instead of five or six. For my service you can place your slips for your first round pick next year under the windshield wiper of a new Ferrari and send it my way.

This is awesome! I hope we have a much more interactive thread going forward. As long as we are all having fun. I have always felt that active forums are an important part of a healty and successful league. I encourage everyone to get into the forums and participate. Even if you just drop a quick GG note. I love the humor. The more "unique" the better. Let's have some fun this season gentlemen. Best of luck to everyone......................................MM
