The Chargers are currently carrying 1 extra man on the regular season roster heading into the final preseason game. Without an obvious last man on the chopping block, we’re trying to find a new home for someone, somewhere. Preferably it would be for one of the qb’s Turner or Minchew. One is a developmental project/backup, the other a quality veteran but starting to slip. There has got to be somebody out there that can use one of those guys. If not, there’s a stud DB in Burnes that is just too old and slow for some spots but might be useful in a pinch. Or a young but mediocre wr in Breton, or return man Rosenthal. Or maybe somebody else on my roster if you really want to go shopping.
