I sure hope the UK and EU can fix such a terrible and glaring end result of their privacy laws regarding file sharing while maintaining and improving the current user privacy benefits. That said, the US has zero legislation in regards to user privacy, so we don't have any web privacy at all.
EDIT: seeing half a Patrick just reminds me my data is entirely unprotected. Any and all user data is sold and used for profit and profiling in the US. 90% of sites don't provide opt out options - and those that do tend to hide such options. Frankly, I'd rather have zero Patricks.
Maybe check your privacy options within the MFN site itself? Opt in, perhaps (always the least desirable option when any privacy options are given)?

No, it's an imgur issue.
They refused to abide by UK standards with regards to protecting kids against porn, preferring instead to geoblock the UK.
And using a VPN breaks the site, as in it throws an error.

That would mean that MFN uses Imger as it's image hosting service. Users do not have to use an image hosting service in order to upload images for a profile picture. It would be really odd for a website to use Imger, but anything is possible.
