Subtract win and loses (4-12) when Oakland, KC and SD played each other and their combined records against the rest of the league (including Denver) as 3rd place teams was 38-10. Even taking away their combined wins and losses (7-1) against Denver during that time and their combined records against the rest of the league was 31-9 as third place teams. Not too shabby.
