Great defensive battle in that one Browns/warthog, feel very fortunate to come away with the win. Especially with both starting OTs and RDE out. Dont think Ive seen more passes to the flat dropped or incomplete by both teams in a game. Real pleased with the Pack defense, only giving up 6, either we got a good sim or the adjustments to the defense play selection and gameplan worked out, or a combo of both. good luck in the playoffs.
Congrats and GG Grandad. That's was ugly from the get-go. My team is trying to be competitive while we re-tool and it has been a struggle. If I see another pass to the FB in the flat... That play has been vanquished from the playbook.
There were 2 ties and 3 overtime games in week 9. One of those ties was a Battle Royale game between the undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the defending Super Bowl Champion Washington Redskins. It was a prime candidate for Game of the Week honors but we all hate ties So the Philadelphia / New Orleans game claims the Bill. Speaking of Bills, the Buffalo win over the 49ers was prolly the most exciting game on the schedule in week 9. What a wild one that was.
AFC West It looks like this division could go down to the wire as it is scrambled up once again. After this week San Diego(7-2) jumps out to the point with a wild win over Houston and Kansas City ties up Oakland and Denver @ 6-3 with a win of their own over the Raiders. Denver falls to Miami.
AFC East Speaking of Miami(6-3), they maintain a 1 game lead in the East over New England(5-4) as they both win. The Jets(4-5) lose to Arizona dropping them 2 games out. The Bills win bringing them to 3-6.
AFC North Cincinnati(8-1) opens up their lead over Cleveland(6-3) with a win and a Browns loss in the other Battle Royale game against Green Bay. Both Baltimore(3-6) and Pittsburgh(3-6) lose.
AFC South Nobody in the AFC South wins this week allowing Jacksonville(5-4) to maintain their commanding lead over the rest of the division. Tennessee(2-6-1) and Indianapolis(0-8-1) battle out a tie which does not help the Colts GM's hot seat situation. Houston(2-7) loses that wild game against San Diego.
NFC East Washington's(7-1-1) tie had little effect on their division lead but Dallas(3-6) does close up a 1/2 game with a win. Philly(1-8) also wins in the Game of the Week giving rookie GM john97334's his first Paydirt win in 12 tries. The Giants(1-8) lose their 8th straight.
NFC West Seattle(8-1) controls the NFC West with another win and a 4 game lead over Arizona(4-5) who wins their 2nd straight game. Both San Francisco(3-6) and Los Angeles(2-7) have fallen off the map.
NFC North Green Bay's(7-2) big win over Cleveland carries them to a 4 game lead over Minnesota(4-5) who won their 2nd straight and have been playing better than their record shows. Detroit(4-5) falls for the 3rd straight week while Chicago(1-8) is looking forward to 1977.
NFC South If your looking for action the NFC South has a whole pocket full of it. Tampa Bay(8-0-1) has to settle for a 30-30 OT tie in this weeks Battle Royale against Washington. Carolina(8-1) stays on their heals with a win while Atlanta(7-2) quietly chugs along with their 5th straight victory. New Orleans(2-7) loses a tough overtime game to winless Philly which sums up their season so far. They too are looking forward to the off-season.
Big Games Week 10 Jacksonville @ Oakland Cleveland @ Cincinnati - Battle Royale
Tampa Bay remains undefeated. Philly is part of the game of the week for the 2nd week in a row but on the losing side this go around. And the big and dreadful "e" is out for the first time in 1976.
AFC West: Everyone in the west wins in week 10. The standings remain unchanged with San Diego(8-2) leading the pack with Oakland, Denver and Kansas City all at 7-3.
East: Miami(7-3) wins to hold on to a narrow 1 game lead over New England (6-4) who also wins. The Jets(4-6) are fading while Buffalo drops to 3-7.
North: Cincinnati(9-1) rolls, while Cleveland(6-4), Baltimore(3-7) and Pittsburgh(3-7) all lose. With the division in control the Bengals are now looking toward the home field advantage race.
South: Everyone loses here in week 10. The Jags(5-5) hold onto a commanding lead over Houston( 2-7-1), Tennessee(2-8) and winless Indianapolis(0-8-1). This division is struggling mightily.
NFC East: Defending Paydirt Champions Washington(8-1-1) reigns supreme in the East. Dallas(3-7), New York Giants(2-8) and Philadelphia (1-9) all trail with losing records. The big e comes out for both the Giants and Eagles.
West: Seattle(9-1) wins their 2nd straight and about to clinch their 4th divisional title. Arizona(4-6) sits in 2nd with San Francisco(3-7) and Los Angeles(2-8) holding up the rear. The Rams get their e ticket.
North: Green Bay(8-2) wins their 4th straight and hold a 3 game margin over Detroit(5-5) and Minnesota(5-5) with Chicago(1-9) receiving their e ticket.
South: Tampa Bay(9-0-1) remains the last of the unbeaten. Carolina(9-1) is hot on their heels with their win and the Hotlanta Falcons win their 6th straight and ready to swoop down and take which ever of those top two spots if they should happen to stumble. The struggle New Orleans(2-8) franchise cant wait for the season to end.
