Happy to report that besides UDFA signing LT Robert Stanton, none of the team's actual drafts picks busted.

1.21 DT Jeremiah Whalen - Whalen is exactly what we expected him to be when we took him in the 1st round and looks to be a rotational starter as he continues his progression.

3.15 C Michael Sartain - Sartain was highly sought after in the war room and we were ecstatic when we landed him in the 3rd round. Although his pass blocking isn't where we want it currently, he'll definitely be a solid starter for us in the future.

5.6 QB Jorge Bishop - At this point in the draft the war room decided that we should be looking at high upside players, as evidenced by Bishop's 76 VOL, we liked his upside. Taking a chance on him was probably the best thing we could've done as coming out of training camp, there are whispers that he could be just as talented as 1st round QB John Hart who was taken by the Cleveland Browns.

5.12 SLB Lucas Smith - After the Bishop pick, the war room then had a quick turn around and wanted to get the defense some help. With a weakness at the LB position, we decided to target another high upside player in LB Lucas Smith. Previously a DT, we knew he'd have to work really hard if he wanted to make it as an LB or even the team. Especially with an 88 VOL, we knew that he was either going to be a serviceable player or a camp cut. Luckily our faith in him paid off and he had one of the best camp performances on the team. He should be in the mix for playing time this year.

7.14 LT John Yates - At this point in the draft it was clear that other GM's were digging deep to try to find some late round gems, luckily for us, we were able to land just that with possibly the steal of the draft in John Yates. An RB turned OL Yates had an amazing day at camp going +10 potential and solidifying himself as a possible future starter. While his run block isn't necessarily where we want it yet there's no doubt he'll hit his ceiling. Again the war room took some risks with this pick as Yates came in with a whopping 100 VOL. Then again at this stage in the draft, there's not much to lose.

Overall - The training camp went as good as possible for this team. The war room worked hard and it paid off with a rookie class with even later round players pushing for playing time right off the bat. Studs such as Whalen and Sartain were mixed in with lottery picks such as Yates, Smith, and Bishop creating a force of a rookie class.

We really liked Sartian. Was hoping to get him shortly after your pick. You guys made out this draft with only 1 buster and that was late.
