Carolina - Tampa Bay Trade

Any suggestions on how we can remedy the disputed and GM rejected (but completed) Panthers/Buccaneers trade?

Carolina and Tampa Bay GMs may weigh in on this issue as well.

I've made my opinion known. Have Carolina send Tampa's 2nd Rd pick back, along with Carolina's 1st Rd pick for next season. Have Tampa give back the two ancient players from the trade; Hendrix & Harris.

I think the issue is that some of the assets acquired in the trade have moved on and it's impossible (at this moment) to reverse the trades. We might know more when the next phase occurs. The challenge will be coming up with an appropriate response if we are unable to reverse the trade ultimately.

I agree. I've never seen a resolution for a trade gone this far into a sim, especially with the moving parts of the pick that was subsequently traded and used. At this point, the trade may have to be something the league lives with and will require a faster response on behalf of the admin when trades are challenged.

If this trade was amended within 24-48 hours, it would have been easier to resolved.

This is the trade in question:

Carolina Panthers sends:
Charles Hendricks (LDE)
Jeremy Harris (CB)
1986 Round 3 Selection 30
1988 Round 3

Tampa Bay Buccaneers sends:
Steven Schulman (FS)
1987 Round 2 (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

(This is an automated message. If you believe this trade warrants additional investigation, please contact the league admin.)

I'm suggesting Tampa Bay keep the two 3rd Rd draft picks from Carolina & give back the two players.

I'm also suggesting that Carolina keep Schulman.

The changes I'm suggesting would make the trade more balanced. Carolina returns Tampa's 2nd Rd pick & adds next season's 1st Rd pick. Tampa returns Hendricks & Harris.

Basically, the trade I'm proposing could happen easily. Carolina simply trades a 1st & 2nd Rd pick for Hendricks & Harris. If Carolina already used the 2nd Rd pick, then trade the player they picked.

It sounds more complicated than it is.

I think it's too late. Should have been reviewed sooner.

If the trade was reviewed immediately/pre-draft, then both teams can build, trade, and strategize accordingly.

But seeing as no action was taken and that it is now post-draft, picks were subsequently moved and the players that were traded have been centerpieces for both teams, I don't think it warrants any change or any change would rightfully correct it.

Again, the sooner the trade are reviewed, the sooner those trades can be properly amended.

So you're saying a 1st Rd pick & two 3rd Rd picks for Schulman wouldn't make this trade rightfully correct?

By moving the pieces I'm suggesting, that is what you would have as the summation.
