The challenger felt you paid way too high a price for the LB you received.

You may post or PM your rationale if you think that would be helpful to the Trade Committee.

The Committee has voted to void this trade.

This has gotten beyond ridiculous.

That LB is top notch in every category except speed. He's entering only his 4 season. And he jumped up +9 since drafted. The CB I took back is 29, so only worthwhile for a season or two. Who challenged this trade and what is their thought process for why it's not fair?

I understand the goofy "got to always have a first round pick" rule. Don't like it, but at least that's cut and dried. This **** of reversing a trade because someone thinks it is unfair is a joke. Why do we have the trade meter turned off if anything that appears a bit lopsided is going to get challenged and vetoed anyway? FWIW, the trade score on this deal was Cleveland giving up 2254 and Arizona giving up 1820. And so this gets overturned because Arizona was taken advantaged of??? Makes no sense.

I did not challenge, that said as a part of the trade committee I voted against this trade. I can see this New Gm is excited about making trades and Knows not what he does. I mean this constructively in no way is it an attack on anyone, At 2 a.m. he was complaining about having too many "older players" yet he is trading away his future "young" players for "older players".

The Paulson/Lopez deal was apples for oranges IMHO. Now just my opinion here. The deals with the Saints were bad deals, nor unfair or unbalanced, just bad. He gave up a 3-18 pick that could last 8-10 seasons, for a RB Mora with 8 years age on him, and we all know 9 seasons is pretty much the limit. Yeah he has good Att's now, and with an 89 rating he may go until 10 seasons, His stats are pretty good, not amazing, (here it comes) BUT he is in the last year of his contract, he will want a BIG BONUS to resign, it's not like you can spread that bonus over a long term contract.
The other RB Bryant is in his 9th year, again good numbers over his career nd still maintaining his Att's for now, once again hic contract is up and at 84/85 rating he will also cost a pretty penny to resign. On top of that Ingraham another RB/WR with a good career and an 86 rating is also in his last year. He has 8-10 more like that coming up. Noreal cap trouble, YET.

LT Fuentes +15/-9 a second round bust, that will keep declining, once again not a BAD player and only 3 years in, he has been cut by Houston and Minnesota with out a regular season play, picked up on waivers by NE and traded after 10 games not the steadiest player, I'm guessing. 2 years left on his contract at 3.8M he will carry another BIG MONEY tag with his 83 default. He did this while we were debating your trade. I say definitely not worth a 2nd &3rd round "younger" picks.

Finally, the trade in question. I have no argument that MLB Waldman is High quality, top notch player even his SPD that you mentioned isn't terrible for the inside. Heck, I'd trade for him, good stats, lots of interceptions, a first round pick! again we have a player with in the final year of his contract, another big money bonus, he can sign aldman over 6 seasons and it wont be so taxing on the cap, yes but I can't get with the 2 #1's, middle selections 15, and more than likely the other is gonna go up, for a 5 & 6/30 selection. He could have an opportunity for 2 players like this with he #1. The CB eh, is again not BAD, far from top of the line. He's nolocontendre in my eyes.

I am not accusing any one of any shenanigans here, It's obvious you 2 were dickering trying to workaround that damned trade score. I would say if you really want to make this deal, work out something that will not hamstring the future of the TEAM. GM's come and go, unfortunately, some leave huge messes when they depart. The trade committee is not only tasked with the protection of individuals (usually new GM's) getting fleeced (not the case here) but we are also here to protect the health of the league as well. It is much more difficult to attract prospective GM's when you have 4 or 5 teams that have been driven under. Warthog, I'm not lecturing anyone, we are all grown here, and you are a well respected and skilled Veteran in this and other leagues. I'm just rendering an answer to your question and explaining MY thought process. Hope you guys can strike a deal. Feel free to cuss me out on my private thread, sir Good Luck..............................MM

You as well DEMBOYS!

Because you paid too much for that player.....in most cases you can draft a player like that on round 2 and at 22yo..... this deal should be reversed ....

I would dispute this statement. Just did a quick check on MLBs active in this league. Of the top 15 MLBs, I believe 11 or 12 were first round picks. A couple were at the very top of round 2. Lowest one was like 2-15. So the facts as I seen them say that its rare, not common, to find a player like this in the second round.

(of course everyone has different ratings on players, this is just how it plays out for me. your mileage may vary.)

Fair point, the draft may be tricky in some seasons.... still, two 1st rounds and more (the CB has a lot more value that a 5th and a 6th) is way too much....
