So the Trade Committee was tired about all this and approved finally a shitty deal..... I am very disappointed....
I highly doubt that the trade committee would drop their integrity, simply because they were "tried about all this". I would hope they voted in what they thought was truly the right decision.
That's fine. Enjoy the league, guys. I'm out. No hard feelings towards anyone. I just don't wanna be a part of this anymore.
Speaking as a veteran member of the trade committee, I am not tired of dealing with these issues. I think most of you know me well enough to know I take my responsibilities seriously. I voted to approve the trade. I am usually on the other side of the fence in trades like these. My reasoning was: Tampa's GM went into this trade with eyes wide open actually proposing the trade. Jou accepted bc well he was on the winning end. (and you can't blame him. We all know Jou is a traade wiz. The trade while not a good one wasn't that lopsided or coerced. Bingo has stated he doesn't feel comfortable trading and while not a valid excuse it's certainly understandable. Tampa has the minimum # of #1 picks remaining, and I cannot see that any other
CURRENT league policy has been broken. I am sorry if this upset people. Especially Crazyrazor, who is one of my favorite Gm's, and I have a long MFN history with. I just couldn't find any actual violation of league rules. I do feel that Tampa's young GM has made some questionable moves concerning the future of the team and the division for that matter. Perhaps someone could reach out and school him in IDK, say, Player weights, or how to pick players in the draft. I don't understand why you would help to improve another team in your own division? but, WTH? I also feel that the situation is worthy of our continued diligence as GM's to monitor future moves by Tampa Bay to address the concerns from other GM's in the division to ensure that the viability of the team and most importantly health of the league has first priority.
One of the things that stands out about Paydirt is the ability for
ANY GM to propose a rule change, debate it and then vote on it. So I say gentlemen come up with a change, a set of rules, or simply some more specific guidelines for the trade committee to consider when a trade is challenged. What I can say for certain is that Trade challenges almost
NEVER end with everyone happy. We have an issue every season. So rather than get angry, come up with a plan submit it for debate, let's hash it out and vote on it. It may be worth looking at penalties for breaking said guidelines, or a rule prohibiting the rehashing or reuse of players from trades that have been disapproved? Perhaps, once a trade has been disapproved the 2 teams could be barred from trading for the remainder of that season? I cannot speak for all of you, lets fix it B4 we lose more quality people. I do apologize if folks got upset, but I won't apologize for voting my concience. Have a a great camp everyone......................MM
