Yeah, Its a great idea to trade a 2nd round pick to the team that is now going for its 3rd straight LC in this league. Trading 101. Hope the rook DT pays off, my weights have him at 69 and he was a 4.32 pick, good swap for a 2 and 4 round picks.

Different owners...different stategies...different weights....I've won plenty of titles...just like you so your critique means very little to me. Find some newbs to mentor or teach...I ain't one of them.

Thanks

CJ

Gentlemens bet.....who had the better run defense by the end of next season. I've checked you DL and it's not build to stop the run...it's built for pressure

I'll take that bet CJ, and it wasnt a critique of your ability and record in MFN, you've done a great job turning the Vikes around in a hurry, we have very similar weights and approach to turning a losing team around. But it was a critique of trading with a dominant team that the rest of the league is trying to catch up to and compete with. It may be that the DT was the best you could find, I see one very similar in the FA pool. And to clarify, I only had the Giants for the last couple of games last season.

Double check that teams draft picks....he has 2 7th round picks next season as he used a bunch of picks to trade for a 6 year LB, a 8 year LB and some 13 year OL.

I get you think the DT I traded for isn't great...you probably still overvalue strength in your player weights and I have proof from multiple leagues that strength is about the 4th or 5th attribute in ranking.

The DT I traded for is rated higher to me then any on your team because strength is next to meaningless especially for stopping the run....I know because I've been constantly at the top stopping the pass but near the bottom middle in stopping the run. You personally ranked like 16th in stopping the run.

Don't take my word....goto team stats from last season....check run yards per game and look at what teams were at the top....if you check the DL on those top teams you will see clear as day what attribute is consistently at or near 100 regardless of strength.

I get it, I use to believe in strength for DT too but if you dig deeper....it isn't the key attribute.

As for trading with last years champion...I don't care!!!! I got a highly rated rookie DT who boomed +14.

Hey you gotta love the lvely debate! I only wish we had more GM's involved! I kinda feel like the tough part of the forums is that you can look the other person in the eye. You know like when your at the bar havin' a beer and talkin' football or hanging out with family watchin' your home team and everyone has their own take. Dad says defense wins championships, Mom lkmes long TD passes or kick returns, kid brother is trying to be heard, big brother lkes the lineman and sis is only watching cause they look good in their uniforms, lol. The Falcons are "The Champs" until someone knocks em out. First team in 20 season to repeat. The season starts Monday. I can't wait to see how The Giants and Vikings improve! Oh yeah and a conspicuously quiet GM of the Eagles. Don't count him out. Greyghost and TJ breathed life into the struggling Lions and Colts. $B$DOG kept the Panthers up to speed and Coach norm (God blees him) took over a Fleeced and released Bucs team and I am sure He will make a go of it! Best of luck guys and WELCOME TO PAYDIRT bwwwwahahahah!................................MM
