Once again I forgot to post this before the regular season started, I blame my college for that. Good thing I turned on no spoilers. But here is the new yearly AFC East Predictions. Note that I’m like Adam Rank and have never been accurate with my predictions so please don’t be offended with my predictions.

1. New England Patriots (11-5) DC
It’s hard to go against New England when they‘ve won the division the past several seasons. I will say I was tempted to the Miami Dolphins or Buffalo Bills as the division champs since (1) Miami made a surprise Super Bowl appearance last year and (2) both teams made incredible improvements in the offseason. Once again, I’m predicting the New England Patriots to claim the division albeit not in dominating fashion. It will be a very close battle between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills for that crown.

2. Buffalo Bills (10-6) WC
Buffalo had a down season last year. Was it because of the QB situation or the roster having aged? We don’t know. What we do know, is that the Bills might have found some young talent and a stable QB to guide the franchise for at least this season. They have an elite tight end that could easily become the next Rob Gronkowski and overall, the team and coaching staff are always competitive. Buffalo is too good of a team to struggle the way they did last season and they are still too good to not make the playoffs. Buffalo will claim a Wild Card spot with at minimum a 10 win season.

3. Miami Dolphins (10-6) WC
I might be lingering on the statement “surprise Super Bowl run” but the improvements made by this roster are awesome. It took Miami some time but they managed to fix their safeties with the trade acquisitions of James Hudson and Dirk Diggler. Miami was also able to add more talent in the draft with Kevin Winter. The major question you have to ask the Dolphins is how much will they struggle without their franchise RB Mark Finley? He was traded away in order to acquire Dirk Diggler. Another concern is how many games will it take before everything clicks for the Dolphins. The Dolphins have struggled the past few seasons with slow starts to their seasons. If the defense stays as strong as they were last year, and the offense functions fine without Finley, they should still be able to squeeze in a spot in the Wild Card.

4. New York Jets (5-11)
The New York Jets could be the team that could range anywhere in the record predictions. The team can I either be very competitive especially with the new QB they acquired or they could hit Rock Bottom faster than Dwayne Johnson. Anything is up in the air and a week 2 match against the Dolphins could easily give the Jets a case that they’ll be a competitive team this season. Right now, I’m going to have to give the Jets a 5 win season, the Jets have struggled the past few seasons with AI management and it may still take some time before they are a competitive roster again.

Well, hope you guys like this post. Come back at the postseason with your pitchforks and torches when you realize how inaccurate my predictions were.
