These are the big games. These are the games that determine the destiny of franchises. These are the games that league history will remember. Yes, they lead to the championship, but these games say so more in many ways. They say after months of play and weeks of games; our team is the best in the conference.
Miami Dolphins at San Diego Chargers
MiamiThe Phins with Androwski at the helm have been on the verge of becoming a powerhouse the past few seasons. They have now won the AFC East 3 of the past 4 years and have arrived. They did so in an unbelievable, convincing, performance against Cincinnati by an incredible 40-7 blowout. The idea of scoring 40 in this game today is amazing but blowing out a team like Cincinnati could rank as one of the greatest performances in Paydirt history. Is there enough in the tank to upend the strong Chargers?
San DiegoWhile most teams in other divisions get to relax during some games of the regular season, teams in the AFC West don’t. The AFC West is a warzone game after game with every matchup having playoff implications. There is no greater trendsetter than jgcruz. He has led his Chargers to the playoffs 6 out of the 7 seasons while going to league championship in 1976. He is one of the best owners in Paydirt history but will he get a championship to solidify his standing among the greats?
Game AnalysisOffense (Total Yards)
Dolphins: 10th
Chargers: 8th
Defense (Total Yards allowed)
Dolphins: 9th
Chargers: 7th
On paper this is anyone’s game. This is the playoffs and the world changes, but consistency doesn’t. I see this game being hard fought all the way. It would not be surprising if this one turns out 3-0 or 6-3. This is an evenly matched contest and could be one of the most critiqued in Paydirt history with the aftermath.
Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks
Green BayThe Packers are sneaky. Many in the league don’t realize that the Pack have been to the playoffs 5 seasons in a row, while winning the division the previous 4. They are led by one of the respected owners in MFN GrandadB. They snuck by the Cowboys 23-20 and then beat the powerful Lions 16-10. The 1977 Packers are like assassins and you don’t know they are there until it is too late. Will they be able to sneak up on the defending champions?
SeattleRarely does this happen, I don’t remember if it has happened in Paydirt. The defending champion Seahawks are the most “Cinderella” like team in the field. In week 15, there was a chance they wouldn’t make the playoffs, but did. In week 16 there was a chance, the wouldn’t win the division but did. They are scrappy and assassin like. The owner awest827 could possibly be the most Belechick like figure in Paydirt with 2 out of the last 4 championships. They are the champions until someone beats them. Do they have enough magic to pull off a remarkable season and win back to back championships?
Game Analysis Offense (Total Yards)
Packers: 8th
Seahawks: 3rd
Defense(Total Yards Allowed)
Packers: 18th
Seahawks: 29th
There will be some points scored in this one. The question is how many and in which direction will the momentum flow towards the end of the game. Both offenses can score quickly and this one most likely will come down to the final possession.
