Pre-Season Game 2, 1974Houston Texans Vs New Orleans Saints
Another great day for football as the Texans visit the Saints for their second game of regular season. New Orleans is currently 2-0 after defeating the Texans in overtime 23-17. both defense showed up as they were a total of 18 sacks in the game , 12 of them coming from the Houston D line who is on fire having a total of 19 sacks in the first two game of the pre-season but Houston defense was not the only one showing off in the field , the Saints made sure that Houston running game didn't go anywhere as they hold 23 yards and a devastating 0.83 Rushing average on 28 attempts and punish the Houston O-Line with 4 sacks.
Offense Notable PerformancesQB Douglas Socha made his debut with the Texans after being traded and he did alright, Socha and 7 completions on 11 attempts 138 yards and 1 touchdown but also an interception. QB Jason Ward also did alright with 20 attempt and 9 completions for 114 yards and 1 touchdown. RB Michael Perry also made his debut after a trade but he didn't play much. Perry had 1 rushing attempt for 2 yards and 1 rec for a 55 yds touchdown.
Defense Notable PerformancesGreat game by DT Roger Williams who got himself for 6 sacks and a total of 7 tackles that earn him a spot on the Defense Players Of The Week Board for week 2 of pre-season. Roger had 6 sack of the 12 sacks allowed by the Saints Defense. SS Eric Miller had one interception that gives our secondary 3 interceptions total in this first 2 game of the pre-season which is a good sign for a secondary thats pretty weak in overall talent. CB Clyde Coronado had himself a night with a total of 10 tackles and 3 knockdowns.
Houston Record 1-1 Saints Record 2-0
Houston Will be facing the Rams Next week at Houston and the Saints will be facing the Chiefs at Kansas.

feedbackOverall Im very satisfied with the way my defense is playing , I know is just pre-season but is better to see your team playing okay than playing like trash, with that being say I'm okay with my defense right now they have been able to perform. I would love to see my offense play better , even though Perry only touch the ball once when it came to running the ball there is no reason for the backfield to average 0.83 yards/carry. my rookies been doing well especially WR Jordan Gibbons , DT Christopher Overlock and LT Richard Kula. I need to see more from our first round pick FS Edwin Hill who I was going to sit down for the rest of the pre-season but 2 tackles in 2 games even though in the first game he got hurt is still really really bad from a top 10 overall pick.
