Stop policing trades. If some owner makes a dumb trade, who cares. Let them ruin their team. I'm here to take advantage of anybody that wants to make a bad trade. Just hit me up.

The old MFN-19 school of trade shaming. :)

I agree with this, but you have predatory GMs like sharks in the water. If its between two GMs that actually understand the SIM, then dumb away I don’t give a ****.

Sorry, I don't buy it. When an owner ruins his team it hurts the whole league.

Could we clarify in the rule that it's 30 days old from join the Paydirt Football League and not just "New Accounts"?

Also, my question was never answered, who's doing the reviewing? The competition committee? Which consists of? There was never any confirmation on the reps.

Awaiting league admin's response to what constitutes a 'new account'. It seems to me that the trade was prematurely voided without the proper due process most other vetoed trades undergo -- i.e, trade assets held for competition committee review, but instead voided because of an arbitrary decision.

For our purposes, a “new account” is any GM who is new to Paydirt Football League.

If this is the case why this trade was voided, how is the that this trade is the one that gets scrutinized while there have been other trades that violate what you just consider a 'new account'?

Examples:

Smirt joined on 2-26-2020:
On 3-1-2020, 4 days after joining, this transaction occurred: https://paydirt.myfootballnow.com/forums/1/1271?page=1#8720.
On 3-5-2020, 8 days after joining, this transaction occurred: https://paydirt.myfootballnow.com/forums/1/1286?page=1#8795.
On 3-7-2020, 10 days after joining, this transaction occurred: https://paydirt.myfootballnow.com/forums/1/1288?page=1#8827.

Okay, those were all trades when Beercloud was loosely still the league admin when he was contemplating on what to do -- still no issues with any other GMs, but violates your definition of 30 days new to Paydirt.

Infinity On Trial, joined on 5-25-2020:
On 5-26-2020, 1 day joining, this transaction occurred: https://paydirt.myfootballnow.com/forums/1/1358?page=1#9567.

This trade occurred when the league picked up to the point it is at now, and you were and still are the league admin.

If your 'new account' rule is in place, then those trades should have been voided.

In addition, another fallacy I see with your 'new account' interpretation:

Suppose a new owner comes in and wants to rebuild an aging team, does it mean that they won't be able to move any pieces for an entire month? This basically restricts and hinders them from doing anything with their team and their rebuild process. Player values are lost each season, and for that owner to not be able to move those pieces will put that owner in a deeper hole.

It also depends on when that owner joins as well. Join in week 9 and that owner won't be able to trade until week 9 of next season -- if it is on the usual 30 day cycle per season, meaning that owner can't move players until the end of season since the deadline was missed AND additional value is lost from the player after the end of season. Join predraft, and the owner has the #1 pick and would rather trade down to get more players out of it, but because of the wait time, that owner can not do so.

As of now, every GM in Paydirt, has had more than adequate time to play MFN. If any trade restrictions were due to wait time, it should be the standard 30 day wait that was built into MFN.

This 'new account' imposition needs to be corrected.

I agree with Salty on this matter. “New Account” was meant to interpret a new member to mfn.

Salty has very good points, I must ask the question on new, I was owner of this team the first 6
seasons and have just picked them up, does this mean I'm old or new!

Your points are well taken. From now on, new accounts shall refer to newbies only. You are free to proceed with the trade if Arizona agrees. (That means trslick may also trade to his heart's content.)

I am concerned only with the well being of the league and "keeping it real". I still encourage the league's GMs to voice their opinion if they object to the "fleecing" of another GM in a trade. Please note in cases of late night trades, i.e., those made shortly before game play, I reserve the right to delay the sim until the league's GMs are given an opportunity to review it.

I am under a trade restriction and I have two years in the game. I have just come back and had to open a new account bc I could not remember my login info. even so Tampa has just slightly more time than I, why an I restricted?
