Position coaches

Quick question when hiring a position coach is there much to be said for hiring one who is strong in a particular attribute you're looking for, say Passing Accuracy for QBs, but has a low overall rating rather than hiring one who has a higher overall rather but a lower rating for that specific attribute ?

e.g better to hire a 55/60 rated QB coach with say 80+ for accuracy or a 75 rated QB coach with 65/70 for accuracy ?

They help players reach potential quicker per rating and have a in game modifier specific to the ratings applied in that scenario . Thier maximum influence would be 20% when compared to 30% coordinator and 50% for the HC.

Help your rookie qbs development of accuracy or distribute ratings to compensate for a weak spot in your hierarchy of coaches.

Imo the effects are minimal and I let the AI do most of my coach moves. If I do promote or sign a coach I look at that stuff to influence my decision .

Wow. I didn’t know it was that high now. I was under the impression it was like 10% HC 5 % OC/DC and 1-2% position coach.

Basically making the HC and coordinators worthwhile hires and position coaches meh.

I do the same as ray though. I just pick one attribute for a position coach and look for the highest rating and take him.

I'm looking for overall. If I have similar overall ratings for the position I need filled, I'll obviously look for ratings I value higher.

I'll not hire a 50 over a 85 overall, because of pass accuracy 100 vs 90 though (example).

I wouldn’t for HC or Coordinators but position I would but that’s just me because of the minimal impact but if it’s changed then, perhaps I will change......

Every team has a 100% distribution it's the ratings that are different . This pick https://national-fictional-football-league.myfootballnow.com/player/3904 went through camp with no coaches .
He progressed ok , I don't really know how much better he be with a good complete staff.

I also like to hire many young position coaches and keep the guys that seem to progress quickly .

I look for position coaches who are "on the rise". They boom or bust just like players but in smaller increments. I look for coaches who increase their ratings at least 2 points a season.

Sometimes I will take chances on brand new coaches, the young ones just starting out. If they don't increase in rating, they get replaced the following season.
