Tackling is excellent just where it is. I think the ratio is outstanding of tackles and misses. Low tackling means something, as it should, hence a lot of misses by some players.
The tackling mechanism and frequencies in this game are outstanding IMO!

I refuse to accept this when LBs get 25-50 tackles a year if they have high tackling and speed while RBs put up Madden like rushing yards.

Hmmm, not sure where you get Madden numbers from. IMO, the passing numbers are the only thing perhaps a bit too amped. I respectfully disagree with your assessment

It's normal to see HBs reaching 3000 yards on 300-400 carries. Now I guess in tougher leagues you do not see nearly as much of that though.

I guess my reference was to established leagues

MFN1, the leading rusher is averaging about 130 yards per game.

I don't know what you mean by established leagues. We have a pretty competitive culture in 19, and I had two backs reach 1900 yards during the season. My lead back in Fake Pigskin is averaging over 8 yards per game. I took over a team in 16 last season that was 6-6 and went 7-0 with a FA running back that averaged 10 yards per carry in three games for me. I mean, look at this guy, seriously look at him: https://mfn16.myfootballnow.com/player/3243

The only league I'm not putting up Madden numbers in the running game is 13, and I blame all of that on my OL. And my lead running back is averaging almost 6.0 YPC for a 1-7 team. (Yeah, I know game planning, blah blah blah...that OL sucks.)

I don't count the games in 67 since that league just started and no teams have any play knowledge.

I think I'm pretty justified in saying you can put up Madden numbers in the running game if you know how to exploit a defense just a little bit.

---

Also, none of this addresses the fact that LBs do not get tackles even in established leagues. I just checked MFN-1 and there are two LBs in the two 40 for tackles. One is ranked 9th and the other is 39th. The rest of the players are DBs.

In the 2015 NFL season, there were 10 safeties total in the top 40 tacklers. The rest were LBs: http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/defense/sort/totalTackles

MFN1 is an experiment league so anything there is not necessarily legit

Then what constitutes an established league? MFN-1 has the best developed players and the most active owners. Because I'm seeing similar stats in MFN-2 as I see in 13, 16, 19, and Fake Pigskin. In all of those leagues, owners are putting up Madden numbers in the running game.

I still think most of this has to do with LBs not playing in position to get tackles and then getting consistently shrugged off when they attempt to tackle. I've seen too many shrug off that I think there is a legitimate tackling issue, and the lack of LB stats evidence that. (In MFN-2, there are 4 LBs in the top 40 for tackles. The highest rated one is 20th in the league. All others are DBs.)

this past season in 19 we had 10 RBs average over 100 yards per game(1,600/season) and 3 that had over 125 yards a game(2,000/season)
1. 146.3 ypg / 2,341 for the season
2. 138.1 ypg / 2,210 for the season
3. 126.1 ypg / 2,018 for the season

this is all in 1 season

for the entire existence of the NFL only 53 players have rushed for 1,600 yards in a season(some of the 53 is the same player hitting 1,600 yards for multiple seasons) and only 7 have rushed over 2,000 yards in a season

on a side note
best rushing season of all time 2,105 yards (last season in mfn-19 2 players beat this 2,210 yards and 2,341 yards)
to get into the top 5 best rushing seasons 2,008 yards (last season in mfn-19 1 player qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)
to get into the top 10 best rushing seasons 1,883 yards (last season in mfn-19 2 players qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)
to get into the top 25 best rushing seasons 1,759 yards (last season in mfn-19 2 players qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)
to get into the top 50 best rushing seasons 1,610 yards (last season in mfn-19 2 players qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)
to get into the top 100 best rushing seasons 1,474 yards (last season in mfn-19 1 player qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)
to get into the top 150 best rushing seasons 1,374 yards (last season in mfn-19 4 players qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)
to get into the top 200 best rushing seasons 1,308 yards (last season in mfn-19 1 player qualified that didn't qualify for a higher spot)

anything over 1,000 yards is a great season for most RBs in the NFL but in MFN-19 we had 18 players get enough yards to be on the list of "200 best rusing seasons of all time" and another 7 players with 1,000+ yard seasons

this is why we say rushing is a bit broken in the game

These are just individual stats mind you. The team stats are more insane. My team rushed for 4100 yards.
