22 Sacks in the game? Fix your OL. Stop calling so many passes when you don't have an OL to buy you time.

There is a lack of parity, but that is on each individual owner. SOME of these games are like a Pro Team vs. a HS Team. Some are like a Pro Team vs. a JUCO. Some are like a Pro vs. a College. Some are like a Pro vs. a Pro.

You don't want 22 Sacks in your game... build a good Team, and play good Teams.

If you're still in Public Leagues, you'll still get a Ton of Sacks every single game. You want a better Game, get in a Better League with Better Owners.

Dumbest comment ever on MFN? It is in the running...

No, it really isn't.

I see a massive difference in the Sacks I get against Good Quality Teams and the usual trash you face in Regular Leagues.

There are less Trash Teams in most Private Leagues.

The less Trash Teams you face, the less times you'll have 'Video Game Sack Totals'.

I think one of you are talking about sacks by your team, and the other is talking about sacks given up by your team.

I am talking about both.

In MFN-7 I have an amazing Defense, really top notch. Littered with 100 SPD/100 STR types at the LBs and DE, had a FS that was the same before trading him this Season... from DT1 and DT2 back to the Safeties, the only Players that weren't insane were the CBs.

I often lead the League in Sacks. I also notice when I play the actual Good Teams in MFN-7 that I get to the QB less, because they actually have good OLs and good QBs.

So coming from a guy who generally has 3 guys with 20-30 Sacks a Season on his Roster, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to attacking Offenses.

On the flip side, I see from League to League how my Teams with Good OLs give up significantly less Sacks than my teams with Bad OLs. I also see this contrast in League depending on the quality of the Opponents Defense.

If you are giving up 11 Sacks in a Game... build a better Offense. You're doing something really wrong. I say 11, because he was talking about Games with 22 Sacks... so I gave each side 11 of them.

Bad Offenses give up tons of Sacks. Good Defenses get tons of Sacks. That part isn't rocket science.

What people have an issue with is admitting their Offense wasn't good enough to stop the Defense... can't be them, so it must be the game. They blame the Game because they invested more in RB and WR than OL... and wonder why 100 SPD/100 STR DEs eat them alive.

Some of it is Game Planning, though. You have a weak line, go 2 TE more often. Stop spreading out so much with 0 TE.

Instead of learning the game and improving, they complain. They don't realize your average Public League Team just isn't very good for a variety of reasons. ****, I just went 8-8 in a Custom-Public *edited* League and didn't have a single Pass Play in the book. So you KNOW I MUST run on every single down, from 1st and 10 to 3rd and 1 to 4th and 99... I can only call Runs. And still went 8-8. That's not because I'm a genius... that's because 8 Teams I faced were really bad Defensively.

When people start playing better competition, they'll see the difference. Of course that requires them to build better teams themselves, or they will just get stomped and blame the Game.

Thank you, Custom is what I meant. Because it's still a Public League. In a Private League, I wouldn't be able to go 8-8 with Only Run.

I edited to correct the error.

Blitzers get to the qb way too easy under this code. DTs are a bit over the top also.

I have noticed that the DL has much more success against a poor OL, which is good.

I have also noticed that a blitzing LB or CB gets to the QB pretty easily on a consistent basis, especially if they have speed.

The games where my team has given up a bunch of sacks is usually due to a combination of:
sub-par OL
too many passes (usually because I'm in 2nd/3rd and long a lot)
facing a D with one or two great DL and/or blitz heavy scheme
