Meatman.
I did a deep dive on the power rankings several years ago and tried very unsuccessfully find out what they were based on.
Turns out, through many PMs JDB and I exchanged....he doesn't even really know himself.
That's when I started doing my own based on real data...wins/loses...ranking of opponent....total ranking on offense and defense plus turnover margin....I posted the formula multiple times throughout the years and the team that make the playoffs are usually the top 12 teams....sometimes 11 of the 12 come out of the top 12 and 1 playoff team with come outta 13-19.
This usually happens when you have what happened with the Washington football last season. A week divion sends a team with a losing record to the playoffs while teams with 9, 10 or 11 wins miss out.
I love the idea of power rankings so when I finally learned it's a known broken Algorithm by the developer....mine are transparent and anyone can do their own in 5 nunutes for their own team so every owner in the league knows my opinion doesn't factor into it.

Those power rankings are a whole different animal where the top 10 teams are "QUICK"...bottom 10 teams are "DEAD and everyone in between are ranked in the Purgatory of "AND"
The concept is based on the old cowboy gunslinger movie of the same name with Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, Leonardo Dicaprio and Sharon Stone!!!!
Back at ya OT, get those Cards a win soon!, you dont want the 1.1 do ya? So much has been made of the draft and issue of "mortgaging the team future" by trading 1st round picks, makes me wonder how the teams that have had 3 or 4 1.1 - 1.10 picks have fared over the last 4 or 5 seasons. Do they significantly improve? Think I'll have a look at that, could be an interesting result.
