jets and broncos have (edit: same) total value for contract. efa2 yr 2012
Denver Broncos $633,523,708/6yr Miami Dolphins $185,586,661/2yr New York Jets $633,523,708/6yr Pittsburgh Steelers $520,333,503/6yr Houston Texans $577,506,667/6yr Dallas Cowboys $476,107,714/6yr Arizona Cardinals $605,506,667/6yr Detroit Lions $492,733,070/6yr Chicago Bears $289,420,043/6yr New Orleans Saints $577,506,667/6yr
I understand everyone has their own methods about fa's. I'm well aware of JSID - which would increase the odds of a same contract for a FA.
Not pointing, not implicating, but's it's quite odd. I figure all parties are innocent, but it is an exact same figure anomaly from 2 different unique sources. Chaos and or random math concepts are not in play. Multiple points of origin cannot result in absolute randomness or chaos (quantum).
Again, most likely a bug. A deep one or a simple congruence of using jsid's contract tool. If the latter, it's time to fix the 6yr/74.9% contract bug. Most likely means there is still the small possibility of collusion.
I'm not accusing but I am finding the identical contract values statistically odd. I presented outside possibilities for such an occurrence.
well, duh. A terrible dismissal of all I presented. Like, i'm not stupid.
Neither are you.

IF 2 players have the identical highest possible bid, THEN what determines which team has the winning bid?
Like, I said - your casual dismissal is insulting. I'll add lazy. You're far more capable of what you gave.
I gave so much actual info to actually discuss.
You can and should do better. Usually you do.

I stated this. I explained this. I mentioned JSID in my OP. This fact was THE argument that it's a bug and literally what i used to state it's very likely not collusion/abuse of the system.
Like, how the heck was it your go-to to invalidate a valid topic of concern?
UGH!!!!!
Super frustrating.

I was the third one with this maximum bid and signed the player. Only thing I don't know is how the game determines the winner.
My question is why were you giving a max contract to a QB with 38 speed and almost 0 acceleration? Are you all chasing David Carr's records for the most sacks.
@loanblood: what is the tie breaker? Perfect question. I have no idea, but if I were to take a complete guess, id guess it's the same as the waiver wire code.
@setherick: Great point. I totally over looked ACC. I would have regretted it within the next season if I had acquired him.

I'd like to offer more about:

Agreed and obvious.
I mentioned the jsid/74.9999999~ bug and it's likely time to remove it.
I'd like to ask each owner if they are willing to share what process they used in making the offer to Atkins? I still believe that even though the total offers were exactly the same, that it's likely the total bonus and 1st yr salaries used to arrive at the same Max contract number were not.
Perhaps we can find something of value to use in player contracts moving forward. Particularly in the instances of same max offers to a FA by multiple teams as the new UI becomes fully integrated. It's gonna happen again, it's certainly happened before.
