Gentlemen of Paydirt, “The kobayashi maru has set sail towards the promised land.”
For anybody that doesn’t know Star Trek lore the kobayashi maru is a simulator that puts starfleet cadets into a hopeless no-win situation to test how they handle failure. However, Admiral James T. Kirk is the only cadet in canon Star Trek lore to have beaten the impossible. How? He reprogrammed the simulation, which reflected on Kirk’s refusal to accept anything less than victory.

Now with my movie nerd rant out of the way, this is our first full season under this new UI website and for many of us, it will be a difficult adjustment. Common exploits have mostly been patched and we have a challenging season ahead of us. But remember, even if the outcome looks bleak, remember, Admiral Kirk never accepted no-win situations, he always looked for the upperhand even within the jaws of defeat. With that being said, “Gentlemen, may the wind be at our backs!”
