An interesting move by Houston to trade a young, relatively experience and excellent QB for draft choices. Especially considering the fact the its GM might be on the hot seat in just a couple of seasons.

As it has turned out so far, was a brilliant move by SaltyW/Houston. Might just end up being the most one sided trade to date in the league's history. congrats!

yeah, this one kind of blew up in every possible direction. The trade was made when arm strength and release were considered as important as accuracy. At the time, my team was competing for a high seeds in the playoffs - so I figured the picks given up were more like a 2, 3, and another 2. Instead I got a lemon, and gave up lottery picks.
blah, blah, excuses, excuses, and obligatory I hate 4.5 comment.

Thanks for your post on this vcr, its no fun to hash over a blow up and one you'd like to forget. Hopefully, either 4.5 patches or the next version will have Davis kick it into high gear for you.

Also, now that I think about it - shortly after that time I made major changes to my weights. Like Grandad stated in another thread, Clancy scores significantly higher with my current weights than he did at the time of the trade. I want to say he was an 80 rated QB with my old weights, so jumping to a 97+ QB made the deal look a lot more attractive.
Also, I'm almost positive this was made during 4.3 when QB passing was everything. Even the short lived 4.4 the trade was not as lop-sided. Now with 4.5 hindsight, this looks Matt Millen-esque.

What an incredible move here.
It looked completely different when it first was made compared to where it is now. It's a pure genius move by Salty. Davis will be fine once vcr5150 finds out what Davis likes.
