A great trade, but Houston's building process was more than this trade. I think they did a great job, but the job Macrovil did in turning the New Orleans franchise around is a greater feat.
I am not trying to say the Houston franchise didn't do a great thing, but there is a huge difference in division competition.

I agree with all the comments on this thread. I consider myself more lucky than anything.
Yes, although I have turned my team into a playoff team, that wasn't the immediate intent. I traded Davis away because he was my best bargaining chip for a team that had very thin marginal average talent and no first round picks. Getting Clancy in return was just a place holder for rookie QB Lopez until he develops. Even if I were to be evicted as the GM after this season, I know that I would have set the team for future success with the players and picks I received in return for trading away Davis.
4.5 happened and I picked up on it rather quickly than the rest of the GMs in my division. The division isn't as traditionally tough as the NFC South and I respect what Mcarovil has done to turn around his season. It may have took him a bit longer than I did to figure out 4.5, but that's a tough division no matter what engine we're on. And it looks like everyone in that division knows how this engine/version is played now as well!
