As I recall, and Im not a Packer fan, it was probably HC Dan Devine who was basically run out of Green Bay and hated by the fans, who was then followed by HOF hero Bart Starr, who said it was a big mistake taking over the Packer HC job. An interesting fact, the Packers are the only publically owned NFL team, with over 360,000 shareholders, and they get PO'd in a hurry when there's a serious lack of team performance, bad draft choices, bad coaching decisions, et al.

Add/Devine .... was formerly the HC at Notre Dame (what a great last name for a coach there, lol) and was the coach when "Rudy" was there.

I am not sure about the coaching, but the Packers actually went through a very bad stretch for about 20 years. I think they had one season over .500. Then they traded for a guy named Favre.

Wonder what a QB like Farve would look like in MFN attributes & rating, at the time the Pack traded for him, prob the opposite of "Big Deal" Davis, lol. Our QBs in MFN dont have a heart/grit attribute.

He would fit really well in MFN today. He would be a great QB that throws alot of td's and ints. Kinda like his career, maybe that is who JDB patterned 4.5 after on the QB side. lol

gg Giants, your defense needs some work, but your offense is there. My expectations were to 4-4 after the 8th game, so we are a little behind.

GG CLE,

Big big win over current Super Bowl champs keeps us in the shake up for the division crown again.

GG BA, you smoked us. I am officially admitting that I have no clue what is going on right now. We won the Super Bowl last season, added a bunch of young talent and a quality QB and somehow we have taken a huge step backward.

Is it just me or have the sims taken on a incredibly random variable to them? One week my teams look like champions and the next they look like they don't know what a football is?

Random variable, yes without a doubt. There is definitely some major A.I. Terminator type stuff going on. I am getting very random results against teams better than vs. teams worse than mine across the board in all leagues.

It always seems to me in these simulator sports games, the RNG is always trying to balance outcomes. If I get an interception, I'd bet money as many times as possible I'm gonna turn the ball over on the following possession if I don't just score in a few plays.. and vice versa. It's just the games way of keeping balance so obviously overly talented teams don't just blow out inferior teams all year. The problem/frustration comes in when the RNG decides outcomes essentially by working against a truly better team and the lesser team making a few plays and winning due to a staggering amount of losing dice rolls by the better team.

Bad teams win against good teams all the time in the NFL and a lot of it is due to one or two penalties or turnovers. It probably seems more frustrating because in this game, it's our decisions and choices that are on the table, so a sense of feeling cheated can creep in. meh
