Not that my opinion matters, but both owners have been around long enough to weigh the pros and cons of a trade and I would suggest a little more latitude when long time active owners agree to a trade.

So what you are saying is there should be different trade rules for owners base on their tenure? So we should set a system that let's say for owners that have played 0-3 months, 3-6 months, etc.?

I agree with you but, again, its about two guys that have been here long enough to understand the impact to both their teams. Seattle is trying to win now. Are 2 late first round picks worth a championship? Either way, it doesn't impact me, but if it doesnt violate a trade rule, owners histories should be considered.

What trade rule did this violate? I didn't think there was a violation, just that it was considered imbalanced?
doesnt look like it was a rule but definitely way to much for a corner in his 8th year when supposedly they begin regressing in their 9th year

These bout made me spit out my drink. Priceless.
Everybody's opinions matter. Absolutely.
Explanation:. There were no rules broken. My vote was because of imbalance only. I know both GM's are vets and top notch. But when I place my vote I take the trade face value. I dont care how many first rounders any team has accumulated s long as they have at least 1 in the next 3 yrs per that rule. Unless there was a rule against having a certain amount of first rounders. But that is another discussion. So wether Im right or wrong that is how I do it.

The part of the trade 2 #1's for a very good CB, it was a little overpaid, not alot, but #1 and #2 would have been a more fair deal. In regards to rest of throwing in a decent LB and a #4 for a #7, not even close, when the first part of the deal is already uneven. I think both owners are great owners and operate from a fair standpoint. The are both experienced, but that doesn't mean mistakes are not made. I normally take a view of the league overall, just my nature, but my competitive nature also is involved and if the NFC wants to just create a couple super teams and leave the rest of their conference in the dust, more power to them.

Carolina is going to have to wheel and deal to keep the salary cap from playing a role in using those 1st and 2nd round picks. Should be entertaining but they are very good at it.
