I have taken over teams that have been 40 mil over salary cap and made it work, so being that they have been in control of the team, they should be able to make it work, unless dumping the team, which is not the case. In regards to trades others make I don't pay attention to salary cap. I assume they know what they are doing. The only time it is an issue if it is someone that has never played the game before, anyone that has played a month should know how it works.

Carolina has mastered the art of dealing and dumping. Nevertheless, a remedy for preventing hoarding of draft choices is to stop trading with the hoarders for a couple of seasons and wait for the inevitable dumping of good players/signed and unsigned draft choices.

By the way, take a look at the situation in Los Angeles. With only 2 players with small expiring contracts on its roster, it is projected right now to be about $160M over the projected salary cap for next season BEFORE reserving money to sign its draft choices (which include 3 1st rd choices). Some tough choices coming for its new GM, tball. He is a relative newbie, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

The owner in Los Angeles obviously decided a new direction was needed for the team. When I left Denver I don't remember him making as many major changes, so I am interested to see what he does also.

His price actually went up when we tried to renegotiate after this. It's pretty much impossible to get a fair trade right now for a DB. Nobody is willing to trade. So that's why I made this trade. I didn't have any other options.
