GG Black, we were really lucky in this one ... about the PO race, it was indeed a huge win for the Falcons but i think you have the team and the abilities to win all the last 5 games. Any of the PO contenders, Falcons included, can have a bad end of the season and end up 1-4 in the last 5 games .... so nothing settled yet....

The Paydirt Report: Week 6
We are down to 2 undefeated teams in 1981. Both Seattle and Detroit keep their dreams alive. Dallas was the latest to go down but that was to Seattle. Somebody had to bite the dust. Only Washington and Minnesota have yet to put one in the win column.

i was looking at their schedules and Seattle doesnt play Detroit so there is chance both could go undefeated which guessing the NFC title game is where they would play each other

Minnesota and Washington play each other in the 15th week so if both are winless by that game then whoever wins that game would have a win awhile there is a chance other team could go winless which there has never been a undefeated team and a winless team in any season together .

1980 season only undefeated team Seattle Seahawks 16-0
1979 season NA
1978 season NA
1977 season NA
1976 season only undefeated team Tampa Bay Buccaneers 15-0-1
1975 season NA
1974 season NA
1973 season NA
1972 season only winless team Denver Broncos 0-16
1971 season only undefeated team Cleveland Browns 16-0
1970 season NA

and with Seattle losing this week there still will be no undefeated and winless team in a paydirt football season

The Chicago Bears are open to Paydirt B GM's with a positive rating only for the next 48 hrs. After that the job will go public for anyone to take. Job is posted in the Paydirt B teams forum.

The Paydirt Report: Week 11

The week of upsets has arrived. We all know it's coming. We just never know when. In this week Game of the Week: Arizona upsets previously undefeated Seattle 23-19 on a a 19 yd TD strike from QB Joseph Carr to WR John Cavallo with 1:52 remaining. This is the Cardinals 3rd Game of the Week in a row. Unlike the first two, they came out on top in the shot heard around the league. In a couple of other upsets, Tennessee knocked off Detroit in another upset 21-20. And Minnesota upended Jacksonville 9-3.

In Other News:
The Springfield Twisters captured their first Paydirt B Championship by defeating the Rapid City Iron Horse 37-32 in Hectorg93 Bowl II. It was a wild one that even saw two pick 6's in one game. The Paydirt B playoffs was an exciting one that capped off a very competitive playoff race. Congrats to Jouameng and his Twisters and I look forward to another great year in Paydirt B's 1981.

Now to the rest of Paydirt........

AFC
West
San Diego(8-3) and Kansas City(7-4) continue their chase at the top of the AFC West with both winning in week 11. The Chargers have a 4 game winning streak going with the Chiefs going 3 straight going into their match up this coming week. A huge game is an understatement. San Diego took the first game of the series 23-17. Denver(4-7) lost to KC this week to make any playoff run pretty dim. Oakland(3-8) lost their 4th in a row and is pretty much looking for the fork to stick in em.

East
Miami(9-2) and Buffalo(8-3) have a race of their own going in the Beast from the East division. These two will meet next week in what could be a division deciding game. The Bills won the first meeting 27-17. I feel a rivalry heating up here. NY Jets(4-7) took out division foe New England(2-9) as they both are planning for the off-season. The Patriots have been mailed the famous "e" already. The Jets' is in route.

North
Cincinnati(9-2) is have a tremendous year thus far as they won their 5th in a row and hold a 3 game lead over Cleveland(6-5) who are most likely in Wild Card chasing mode. Baltimore(3-8) and Pittsburgh(2-9) are both headed for off-season planning with the Steelers owning a 1981 "e".

South
The Shuffling South continues to live up to their name. With Houston(6-4) leading the division and losing their last two, they still hold onto a narrow lead in the division and it appears nobody can step up and take it away from them. Or can they? With their big upset over Detroit and winning 2 in a row, Tennessee(5-6) with rookie GM dd35 is making a run at the Titans. The move to within a game of the Texans. Their season series is over with each of em winning @ home. Meanwhile, Jacksonville(5-6) got upset by Minnesota but still is only a game behind the division lead. Indianapolis(4-7) even with their spiraling 3 game losing streak are only 2 games back. An entertaining division to say the least.

NFC
East
Dallas(10-1) has pulled even with Seattle for home field advantage in the NFC. But the Seahawks hold the tie breaker as they beat the Cowboys in their meeting earlier in the season. Do you really see the Seahawks losing another regular season game? Nobody saw the Cardinals taking them down so keep an eye on the race between Seattle and Dallas. NY Giants(6-5) won to keep their Wild Card hopes alive. Philadelphia(4-7) and Washington(0-11).

West
Even with their loss Seattle(10-1) has already clinched the West and their only race is for some home cookin in the playoffs. Paydirt's darling atm Arizona(3-8), San Francisco(3-8) and Los Angeles(3-8) have had a certified "e" mailed to them. But on a side note, the Rams have won 2 straight. Even though teams have their own races going on, it's hard to not glance over to the Rams to see any sort of movement going on in tinsel town. Cause they know the day is coming when Los Angeles could be throwing their hat into the playoff ring.

North
After Detroit's(9-2) shocking loss to Tennessee, the NFC North has closed up within the defending Champion Green Bay(8-3) once again. Can you say week 15? As long as both teams dont look too far ahead and stumble that will be a huge week for the NFC North Champion whoever that may be. Chicago's(4-7) long time GM CrimsonwolfZ left town over night to leave the interim GM named AI to steer the team to the off-season until a permanent GM is hired. Minnesota(3-8) upset Jacksonville to give the Viking faithful something to cheer about.

South
Both Atlanta(9-2) and Carolina(9-2) have distanced themselves in the Super South thanks to the Falcons taking out Tampa Bay(6-5). There is still time but the playoff clock is a tickin for the Bucs. If they don't make the playoffs this season, it will be the first time they dont since 1975. A goos run that isn't quite over yet but they gotta have a strong finish to the season from here on out. It looks like New Orleans(4-7) has finally succumb to the Paydirt battles of 81'. They just haven't been able to get over the hump this season. When and if it becomes official, expect the Saints to be regrouped in 82'.

Games to Watch: Week 12
Houston @ Jacksonville
Indianapolis @ Tennessee
Arizona @ Detroit
Seattle @ Carolina - Battle Royale
Cincinnati @ Cleveland
Kansas City @ San Diego

Based on the remaining schedules and being 1 game behind Detroit, it dont look good for the Pack, and may not even get a WC playoff spot. Tough Tampa Bay is up next, then 3 games before we get Dallas and Seattle back to back. Detroit has a strong schedule advantage at this point.

Anyone willing to bet Green Bay wins the division as Detroit falters to close the season. I've got a source inside the Detroit locker room that guarantees it.

GG dd35. My defense looked like a high school team.

I don't know how that happened. I just watched the game and the stats and it looked like I dominated the game in every category except the final score. I don't have very high expectations for the next three games against Carolina, Atlanta, and GB. it's going to be hard to overcome my ridiculous amount of injuries.
