Sorrry for stealin you quote Mac

for everyone... STOP trading away your picks for old guys just BC you feel they are established. Learn how to spot the players that will be good for your team. Don't be afraid to say no to a bad deal. as I told Damion recently." if another GM is putting pressure on you to do something you don't want...stay your coarse ...ignore him..it's your team you are in control.....if the problem persists report it to the league...totally confidential...............MM

On the flip side, it's not always good to trade away veterans for picks. The reason why is because play knowledge provides boosts in a lot of different areas of the game, but it's not always evident (except for QBs). That's why some veterans outplay their abilities.

Hopefully he wasn't talking about me, who was simply warning him about salary cap. Being -19M over the cap room and very few of his players being able to be cut without even more dead cap hit. I'm just worried he may have to void some of his rookie contracts. Seems like FB Preston's one of the cuts he currently has pending but with a 13M bonus and only 5M cap relief which I don't think will help much.

I remember when I first started, one GM used to try passive aggressively to tell
Me I was an idiot for players I drafted or trades I made. Lol. In his defense we did have some good discussions about game play.

No. Not directly....I am an have been helping Damion out.with full knowledge of the league admin. I have made him well aware of his situation..and as he has stated he has a plan....he is well aware of his cap issues....as a rookie Gm (3WEEKS) he needs to see all facets of the game....why waste the experience of picking 4 5 & 6 in all rounds. He can't trade until after the draft so trading picks was out as well as moving players. He may never have the chance to pick so early again. He is learning...OJT. How to mange a cap issues and how the flow of the season goes....let him make his picks. Even if he had to cut 5 of the 7 and throw them to the waiver wire he has gained a wealth of knowledge in going through his first preseason with no real pressure. He knew going in he couldn't possibly have it all. as I and others have stated before The goal is to build a stronger league with tougher competition and have fun enjoying the best game (football) ever. We (paydirt & B) have the best 2 leagues in MFN IMHO. Helping a guy that is 3 weeks in to MFN and playing with some of the games best is what we should be doing...............MM
