Please explain why Tampa Bay gave up a 4th rd draft choice and two 7th rd draft choices for a 5th rd draft choice, all draft choices being in the same draft. Unless a satisfactory answer is given by the participating GMs by 5 p.m., PST, tomorrow, Friday, October 2 (either on this thread or by PM to me), I will void the trade.

My only guess is that it's because he has 42M needed to sign draft picks and only 43M in cap space. With the 4th and 2 7th's he most likely would've been over the cap space... Definitely could have figured out other ways to solve the cap as this is one of the less ideal ways, but could explain as to why the trade was made.

1) staying under cap for draft picks - I front-loaded the draft, and this trade saves me $2MM on draft salaries
2) I try to avoid 4th rounders (guaranteed money for someone who's not going to play)

Speaking of trades - you could've got a lot more for your 3rd year FS than what you did.

I have voided the trade as it distorts reality we are all seeking (as close as we can come, anyway). Tampa Bay is a victim of its own actions. However, all is not lost for Tampa Bay. It has a few days before the returned picks have to be used, which mean they can be traded for future draft choices. Even with Detroit if its GM is so inclined. If you are unsuccessful in working a trade for future draft choices before you must use them, I'll (reluctantly) take them off your hands for equivalent future draft choices, if you're interested. I'd prefer you work a deal with Detroit (or someone else) before I get involved.

So you veto my trade after asking for an explanation? An explanation was given.

You allow the trade I challenged; saying no one voted? There are 8 total votes.

I am very dismayed......

This is ridiculous.

You asked for a explanation why both GMs involved did this trade and you got a reason from both of them, including a third party GM. For all other trades, we have undergone some reasonable amount of due process in a league wide vote. (For those who partake in them anyways...) To veto this trade as a league owner does not sit well with me especially if your reasoning is that 'it distorts reality'. Last time I checked, this entire game gives the owner/GM to distort reality. I have seen MANY trades that have been unrealistic. This particular trade is one of the least damaging trades to the league. If there's a trade such as a 1.1 pick for 4 almost retired players, that trade should be called out and reviewed.

When you say that you will 'reluctantly take them (the picks) off your hands', that doesn't solve anything. It seems advantageous for you to take those picks and use them to bolster your team.

Bingo415 is one of the newer GMs in the game of MFN, but if you go through his current teams, he's a competent GM, and he started and learned under the tutelage of awest827, who owns the Beginners Only league...and we know how good a GM awest827 is...

I respect jgcruz as a GM, but this could have been handled better as a league owner.
Establish a competition committee of 5-7 GMs to handle reviews like this. One person can't do it all and try to stay neutral/fair. I believe that is why beercloud had set this up, to keep us involved in this league and keep it running smoothly.
