I appreciate that. Trying to remake rosters of old/underperforming teams is tough, but I'm trying.

"Establish a competition committee of 5-7 GMs to handle reviews like this. One person can't do it all and try to stay neutral/fair. I believe that is why beercloud had set this up, to keep us involved in this league and keep it running smoothly."

I agree completely. Are there at least 5 GMs who volunteer to be on the committee. Reply via PM. I will publish a list of the GMs who have volunteered and we'll go from there in establishing the committee. Thank you.

When you say that you will 'reluctantly take them (the picks) off your hands', that doesn't solve anything. It seems advantageous for you to take those picks and use them to bolster your team.

You are inferring that my offered solution was for my benefit. Well, I need those extra draft choices like I need a hole in the head. There is no reason why any other GM who thinks its advantageous to do so could not offer to take those current draft choices that Tampa Bay is trying to unload for future consideration. in fact, I hope that happens. That could be CrazyRazor or even you. I also made it clear that my offer (which I didn't have to make) was to be considered a last resort.

So you would be okay with this trade occurring again? You as a GM can, and will challenge it. And when that challenge does happen, will you let the rest of the GMs decide if they are okay with the deal or not?

With respect to most trades, whether one is fair or not is usually subjective - although being unfair or fair might be obvious to most GMs. However, to get a 4th rd draft choice (not to mention two additional 7th rd draft choices) for a 5th rd draft choice in the same draft is objectively unfair no matter the motivation. So no, I won't support allowing the same trade again.

If Tampa Bay wants, it may now offer to me the unwanted draft choices to me for equivalent future round draft choices. If after the trade is consummated any other GM wants any or all of the draft choices Tampa Bay traded to me, I will trade them for equivalent future draft choices right up to the moment I have to make a selection (assuming a trade offer allows me reasonable time to respond - I do have a life outside of MFN). I take all the risk of having to keep the draft choices (which I don't presently want); Tampa Bay unloads its unwanted draft choices; and other GMs can wait to decide whether they want have another draft opportunity.

I’ll just keep them and solve my own problem another way, hopefully ending this rather silly (to me) debate. Sorry to waste everyone’s time.

Please note that my handling of this matter is not personal and I am casting no aspersions against you. I understand and appreciate your motivation - and I hope and am confident you can solve the issue on your own. Meanwhile, although I appreciate your gesture my offer still stands.
