There is nothing we can't work out not everyone will be happy. Managing 31 other Highly competative "Type A" persoalities is not an easy task and I will probably never suceed in keeping everyone happy. Please give me the beeefit of the doubt in this my FIRST season at the helm....................................MM

Sorry to everyone for my reaction. I don't want anyone to feel bad or make Meatman look like a bad admin. It's not like I want anyone to be expelled from the league because of me.

I still don't understand why would anyone make this trade if you're Miami.

He made it known he was willing to trade the first pick. EVERY owner in the league had a chance to make an offer. Maybe you all did, I don't know. But he accepted this one.

My point is that this trade couldn't have been more out in the open. MVR asked for offers for number one. I announced in another thread that I made an offer. So again, everyone else could have done the same thing.

Miami paid THREE first round picks for the number 2 pick. Why would anyone consider offering less than that for the nº 1 pick? Especially when there's an elite QB prospect in the board. He gifted you an elite QB prospect for peanuts.

As I told MVR in the chat our members are not shy. You should NEVER be sorry for putting in positve input! as long as its done in a respectful manner. We will come up with an official trade policy and vote on it. I promise.

You have a valid point. The timing was awful as well. No one had a chance to challenge/review it. OK that said Lets figure it out. I understand the frustration. W/O being a dictataor. I liked Paydirt BC it welcomed the partiipation and opion of it's memebers. I always believed that it was our one of our strong points. ...............................................MM

One thing I didn't care for is the timing of the trade. I have seen this often by many different players (and Congress). Last minute trades happen i Know. Should we turn off the trades say from Midight to an hour before the draft begins? Just for now and then vote on it. ??????????MM

I proposed the trade almost a week ago...

Certainly understand your point comparing the two trades. But I did try a different angle on this. I recognized MVR had like two dozen picks in this draft. Maybe he would like to sprinkle a few veterans into his roster. One, to help his team to be competitive sooner. And two, so he doesn't face on unfathomable task of trying to extend in five years the 15 or so first and second round picks he has this year. He'd just be in another untenable salary cap position.

You mean the dates/time for when the trade was proposed and accepted? If so, that's why I shared that. I didn't just sneak this in early this morning. It was sitting with MVR to respond for almost a week.

Actuallly I was refering to being so close to the last Miami move. I can also see where It might look funny now that you brought it up? I'm not accusing anyone of anything. Experience is the best teacher and MVR (by his own admission) is in need of some schooling where trades are concerned.............................................MM
