You are definitely a better team this season after the trade but it's the 5-10 seasons after where you lose out.
Make the playoffs and the trade is a good one. Another 5-11 season and it's a bad trade. It's all about this season.

You need a LT (or LG if you make your LG a LT which you should), FB, TE, SLB & WLB plus SS and FS starters and you lack serious depth everywhere but WR, DT and CB.
You have enough talent to win 8-10 games but injuries could derail you plus you have 2 veteran owners in your division who should win double digit games.
Best case scenario, you gameplan great, set solid rules and avoid the injury bug and you go 10-6 and finish 3rd in your division battling 3 other teams for the 6th seed.
Worst case scenario, you don't gameplan great, injuries mount and you finish 4-12 and give whoever has your 1st and 2nd round picks next season great picks.
Good luck, I don't know how good you are at game planning but 8-8 is about what I expect you to finish...hope you prove me wrong.
