The Giant defense just added a couple more notches of nasty.

I disagree, I'm not worried about the Giants having a first round pick for 3 seasons, instead, for the next 3 seasons we will be able to give your Falcons a game and compete for the division/playoffs based on the two key trades that were made for those 1st & 2nd round picks, which will end up being in the bottom 8 of the rounds. Those two trades gave us WLB Colton and WR Sanchez, Will be fun to see if Im right or wrong, wont it? Ive got Colton rated 90 vs his Ai 89 and I will have him for at least 5 seasons up to 7 if he lasts. Sanchez has made a huge difference in the Giant offense the past two games. I wouldnt be able to get near a WR or LB with their attributes & ratings in the draft. In the meantime, we will do just fine compared to the other teams that did not make the playoffs last season and are on course to do the same this season, with their first round draft choices. :)

Grandad, I believe he is talking about the league rules that require a team to have at least 1 1st round pick. So he is saying it will be reversed due to the trade making you fall below that requirement.

First Round Pick Restrictions
a) a team must always show at least 1 first round pick on their team card under future picks.

Thanks TJ, forgot about that, but I know that Meat put that rule in to prevent noobs and owners with less experience/success from being fleeced like was being done previously. Those first round picks were usually in the top 5 of the round. So, maybe Meat will allow me an exemption. :)

Anyone want to take a guess at what my 1st round pick trade value was? Sub 600. Out of 3 1st round picks, I had one that was worth 1200, the other two were both under 600. Try doing anything of importance with that handicap, where top 10 rated players and draft picks are rated over 2000. My best two first round picks add up to less than 1800, for a team that won 3 games last season, 1 of the wins coming after I took them over with 2 games left, I didnt tank.

Thank you, everything is clear now.....

And, sorry Grandad, i know that Colton is a huge player and i personally hate that rule but there is nothing we can do this season.... on my card you can see a wasted 1st round pick.....

This trade will be reversed It Is Illegal.

As it stands right now
2 trades between teams per season
Must have 1 #1 pick at ALL TIMES.
30 (RL) days for any GM with less than 1 year in MFN. This will be a moot point as we are now private and will NOT take Rookies to MFN.

I did not put this rule in. I believe it's been around since beercloud. Coach you have been a good friend and mentor for 5 years now. I feel I need to ask? What? Why? Who do you think you are? I don't understand is, How you think you can pick and choose what rules you follow? I am issueing a warning to the NY Giants GM Grandadb. Any further blatant disreguard for the rules/attempts to stir up drama and miscontent and you will leave me no choice but to find another GM for the job. ..............................................MM

Hard to believe you think I was tryin to stir something up Meat, I had no clue about that rule, and I dont see a need for it other than to protect noobs and duplicate accounts from sending 1st round picks to playoff level teams. There were only two trades involving the first round picks, and both went to current non-playoff teams. It was a healthy trade for both teams, so dont rant at me about trying to pull something off that isnt fair. The trade was good for both, and thats what should be considered other than it was an existing rule that I wasnt aware of until after the fact. If there is any wrong on my part, its that I didnt review all the friggin rules for this league, and I was previously in it, and won an LC as an underdog. The 1st round rule wasnt around then, and shouldnt be around now, but it is, and now I know about it, and reversing the trade will reduce the Giants chance of competing for the playoffs this season, which is usually the goal of any team as far as I know.
