The AFC wild card race was so close the computer doesn't seem to know who got it New England gets in the playoffs but they don't even get an X by their name. Oakland and Cincinatii did their part to try and get in the playoffs while New England lost each of their last 2 games but none of that matters anymore. Now all the Patriots have to do is beat division rival Buffalo who has an identical record as the other 3 teams all 4 finished at 11-5.

GG Texans.

Owen played well again at QB for us, not bad for a throw in on a trade that passed audit 2-1.

going 11-5 and not getting into to the playoffs sucks. 4 of my losses were to division winners with a margin of victory for three of them 2, 2, and 1. Getting my *** blown out against Shitsburg killed my chances. **** you trslick

Yeah, he did. But in a way my gamble payed off since both New England and Buffalo lost.

I benched 7 starters for this game. It should be noted that I adjusted fatigue ratings to 20 for every position other than QB and still suffered 5...count'em...5 injured players.

I'm beginning to think that fatigue and injuries are unrelated. Instead, injuries are random and based simply who's on the field. Meaning, assume two players are on the field. One is exhausted. The other fresh. My theory is that each player has the same chance of being injured when they are on the field. (Another observation: I generally always set my fatigue ratings to the lower end of what's recommended. However, over the last dozen seasons or so, I don't seem to suffer a lower rate of injuries than everyone else.) Oh well.

Anyway, GL to the playoff participants!!

GM's spend hrs in the off-season to get the best roster they can, they work them and their schemes during the pre-season, go through 16 grueling sim weeks battling injuries game plans etc... And the whole season may have come down to one single extra point.
Football drama at its best.

If I was betting on this weeks Wild Card games I would've lost some money.

I've always disagreed with the RL experts who say a playoff team is a huge underdog. Teams get to the playoffs for a reason. So I will call a couple of these mild upsets.

Jacksonville knocks off San Diego. Who says the AFC South is weak?
Carolina not only take care of New Orleans' undefeated season and they upset Chicago in round one.
Washington took care of business against San Francisco.
Buffalo settles who's best in the AFC East with a win over rival New England.
