When a reporter from the Indy Star told Willie Kist that Beercloud predicted a second place finish in the division, Willie quipped “I always liked that guy. This year he will be picking me as an all-pro!” Willie continued, “We have a lot of young players who are going to excite our fans. We have a lot of work to do, but I like the direction the franchise is headed. I can’t wait to start the season off with some champagne against the 1972 Dolphins!”

The first half of San Diego's upcoming schedule is absolutely brutal.

The combined record in 1971 for San Diego's 1st eight opponents was 88-40. The combined record in 1971 for San Diego's last eight opponents was 55-72-1. All-in-all a very tough schedule. I appreciate beer cloud's confidence in his pre-season prediction, but it's going to be a long haul.

Now that Pre-Season is over for 1972 we move on to the big boy games.

Hopefully everybody made it through without any major injuries to your star players.

GG Raiders, I don't think we'll be up to speed until mid season, hopefully get a wild card spot
