GG War/Saints, I figured it would be a defensive one and it was. Again, great to see you back in the game and in this league.
As to the issue about using a limited play selection, I can only say that its necessary at this point, unless you do not want to compete for a CC or LC. I created the first league to have a rule for full active play selection (40 Off & 30 Def plays) and a minimum use. We ended up with all 3 leagues that I admined using that format. Not everyone liked it, but the leagues were full and the games were more interesting and challenging with 90% compliance. That all went south when we lost half the players to the subscription plan and the lack of game improvement. I lost interest and went with the one team here in Paydirt to keep a hand in the game and an eye on any development and improvement. Unfortunately, the only "improvement" has been cosmetic, the user interface. What I would really prefer to see is using the same programming that contols the roster (salary cap, minimum and maximum # of players) do the same for active play selection and minimum use. The Ai Mgr/Coach steps in if there is an omission, and would include overiding rules to limit play use. The diversity must be level and equal, taken out of the hands of both players who want to totally control the game along with those who just want to goof or do the minimum as far as time spent playing on the game. That function would be in the hands of the League Admin, same as injury level and other settings. The use would be optional, same as Roster Only, which is like watching paint dry imho. Without the "bad" plays being included, you limit the look of the game and the diversity, more of a simulation to RL. I would also like to see the position issue solved the same way, the Ai mgr/coach takes over when there is a violation of the roster rule. I would not like to see teams lose good players to cuts by the Ai mgr/coach, but it would be good to "bench" a player that is out of position. That would make the game more challenging and interesting as far as my preferences go. And, those two issues are the most problematic and debated over the last couple of years.
