That was a tough battle Vikings. We managed to keep you guys out of the endzone. Your kicker is lights out btw. You have yourself a pretty decent team as a whole. Just a couple more key players and a few adjustments and you'll be giving both Detroit and Green Bay fits over there.
Man what a week. I don't remember us ever having so many incredible games going down to the wire in one week. I'm going to catch some flack no matter which game I choose for our Game of the Week, cause there are so many worthy candidates.
The Houston Texans 27-26 upset win over the Arizona Cardinals at Sun Devil Stadium is our Game of the Week. The Texans down 26-17 @ the 2 minute warning, scores 10 points in the final 1:44 including a QB Clancy to WR Smith 29 yd pass connection and a game winning 26 yd FG by rookie kicker Pereira with no time on the clock.
Now for the rest of the league. Lets do this by divisions shall we:
AFC West Oakland(2-0) who was shunned by the 9th annual Beercloud predictions, jumps out o an early division lead over San Diego(1-1) and Kansas City(1-1). Denver(1-1) jumps into the thick of it with rookie GM broncos7nuggetts first Paydirt career win. Congrats on that.
AFC East Miami(2-0) squeeks out a win to keep rolling and the surprising Buffalo Bills(2-0) win their 2nd straight to open the season tied for first in the division. The New York Jets(1-1) wins their first under new GM Otterpop and New England(1-1) loses to drop a game back . AFC North Cleveland(2-0) continues to roll with their 2nd blowout victory in as many weeks. Can you say regrouped? Cincinnati(1-1) bounces back and Baltimore(1-1) gets into the win column while Pitttsburgh(0-2) trails the pack.
AFC South This division always seems to stay knotted up or close. With defending division champions Tennessee(0-2) stumbling out of the gate, Jacksonville(1-1), and he up and coming Texans(1-1) along with the surprising Colts(1-1) look to take full advantage. The race is on.
NFC West Seattle(2-0) grabs the early lead as division rival Arizona(1-1) gets upset in a tough one. Los Angeles(1-1) rebounds from last weeks defeat while San Francisco(0-2) picks up where they left off last season with another loss.
NFC East Washington(2-0) is looking tough after a tough season in 77'. The New York footbal Giants(2-0) are tied at the top of the division? Say whaaaat? Experts don't expect that to last but it's still looks funny in the newspaper standings. Both defending division champs Dallas(0-2) and Philly(0-2) are in the cellar looking for whine.
NFC North Green Bay(2-0) flexes their muscle early on to grab the division lead over the North's defending champion Detroit Lions(1-1) who suffered a heartbreak loss to Oakland. Chicago(1-1) jumps into the race while Minnesota (0-2) trails the pack.
NFC South Tampa Bay(2-2) has every intention of running away with it as they jump out to an early 2 game lead over Carolina(0-2), Atlanta(0-2) and New Orleans(0-2).
Games to Watch Week 3 Cincinnati @ Oakland Los Angeles @ Houston Tampa Bay @ Arizona Seattle @ Detroit - Battle Royale Cleveland @ New England
Suprising game for us jgc/Chargers, looks like the Pack D has taken a liking to 4.5, Shutting out an offense that racked up 50 in the previous game is a shock. Will see if it was a fluke or not, BoL the rest of the season, hope we get to have a rematch this season, right? cheers
GG vcr. Thought we had that locked up until three straight offensive plays with turnovers; and giving up an 86 yard bomb with under two minutes to go. Interesting until the end. Good luck the rest of the season.
