GrandadB,
You keep saying the same thing over and over and it comes off like:
I'm sorry but
I'm sorry but
I'm sorry but
First,
When a member of the competition/trade committee informed you the trade would be reserved.....you said this...
"I disagree, I'm not worried about the Giants having a first round pick for 3 seasons, instead, for the next 3 seasons we will be able to give your Falcons a game and compete for the division/playoffs based on the two key trades that were made for those 1st & 2nd round picks, which will end up being in the bottom 8 of the rounds."

Second,
When a regular owner explained the rule...you said this...
"Thanks TJ, forgot about that, but I know that Meat put that rule in to prevent noobs and owners with less experience/success from being fleeced like was being done previously. Those first round picks were usually in the top 5 of the round. So, maybe Meat will allow me an exemption. :)"
You expected to get an exemption because you arent a regular owner...this was disrespectful to every other owner in the league and made you come off as superior to all the other owners....like you should be above any petty rules.
Third,
Clearly I wasn't the only owner to feel that way because Meatman said this....
. I feel I need to ask? What? Why? Who do you think you are? I don't understand is, How you think you can pick and choose what rules you follow? I am issueing a warning to the NY Giants GM Grandadb. Any further blatant disreguard for the rules/attempts to stir up drama and miscontent and you will leave me no choice but to find another GM for the job.
Fourth,
This would have been a great time to simply state......I apologize to every owner, I made a mistake and humble ask everyone's forgiveness. I was wrong and the consequences of my actions have cost us a great owner.....but instead you got angry and said this instead....
Hard to believe you think I was tryin to stir something up Meat, I had no clue about that rule, and I dont see a need for it other than to protect noobs and duplicate accounts from sending 1st round picks to playoff level teams. There were only two trades involving the first round picks, and both went to current non-playoff teams. It was a healthy trade for both teams, so dont rant at me about trying to pull something off that isnt fair. The trade was good for both, and thats what should be considered other than it was an existing rule that I wasnt aware of until after the fact. If there is any wrong on my part, its that I didnt review all the friggin rules for this league, and I was previously in it, and won an LC as an underdog. The 1st round rule wasnt around then, and shouldnt be around now, but it is, and now I know about it, and reversing the trade will reduce the Giants chance of competing for the playoffs this season, which is usually the goal of any team as far as I know.
A lot to pick apart here but you say it was a rule you had no clue about but earlier when TJ explained it to you...you said you forgot apart that....to top it off I tried to give an outsiders opinion as to why the rule may have been made and you quickly corrected me with much detail about the origin of the rule....saying this....

I believe the rule was put in place because some owners were trading all their picks then abandoning their team after only a season or two which makes refilling the ownership difficult..
"That was a part of it CJ, but the primary reason was that a couple of owners were accumulating 3 and 4 first round picks for 2 or 3 seasons in a row. There was also a previous LA who did not like seeing teams trade their first round picks, especially 1.10 or higher, for 8 yr vets or older. Which I agree with, there's a big difference in value and long term depending on the level and age of the players involved."
You seem to know quite a bit about why it was instituted!!! So what's the truth?? Knew nothing, forget or knew exactly why and when it was instituted?
Is your ego so big that when I offered you up an opinion, you forgot all about having no clue to prove you know everything
You take some small amount of responsibility here stating....
If there is any wrong on my part, its that I didnt review all the friggin rules for this league, and I was previously in it, and won an LC as an underdog.
Like any responsibility at all is in question. Why follow rules? you spent 12 seasons here why would you take any time to review rules?
Fifth,
Again, your back to knowing nothing with this post putting some of the blame on ricmoney....
Sorry to see ric quit over it, was coaching him on what he could do to get his offense goin, the Saint defense was tops. It was a healthy trade for both teams, but neither of us were aware of the rule about first round picks.
The trade was legal on ricmoneys end and I'm sure he assumed a legendary owner like yourself knew what he was doing so don't blame him please.
Sixth,
You never give a heartfelt apology to the other owners....it is your responsibility when joining/rejoining a league to refresh your memory on the rules.
20 seasons done before I ever stepped into Paydirt and I quickly ask about the rules....
Hey everyone, I'm new to the league and of course there has 20 seasons of debate, votes and rules which I have missed.
I want to fully comply with all the league rules but there doesn't seem to be a "Rules Thread" with all the rules listed together and just as important...the thread should be Locked so nobody can post in that thread.
Thanks for any help in advance in providing a list of all the rules
And I was given my answers....it's about joining a longterm league and showing respect to everyone who made it that.
Thank God this "didn't know the rules" thing didn't happen say during the Conference Championship game of my XFL league...remember that??? You won 51-45 but also used illegal ST Blockers which resulted in a punt block TD.
League Titles and Conference Titles are a snooze to you with hundreds in the bank but the guy you beat using a cheat had never advanced past the Conference Championship.
It took me dozens of posts with pictures and hand draw circles before you finally were able to except any wrong doing and I was forced to kick you outta the league.
I wanted regret, remorse and true forgiveness but it was like pulling teeth. A little humility would have been nice too, not constantly throwing "I'm superior to you all and how dare you question me"
Finally,
Please,
I'm asking you to apologize to every owner for a mistake....don't add the but this time!
Everyone knows you are a legendary owner....Everyone knows you can beat us all at will....Everyone knows what a great trade it was for both teams....but for all your greatness, I now know of 2 different times you weren't.
Not knowing the rules Falls squarely on you with no buts
