Now to the rest of Paydirt
AFCWest
Kansas City(4-0) wins again and jumps out to a 2 game lead in the Wild Wild West. Denver(2-2) jumps into a 2nd place tie with Oakland(2-2) who won their 2nd straight. The Raiders are a lot like Green Bay as far as stumbling out of the gate only to battle back into contention. San Diego(1-2-1) finds themselves in unfamiliar territory at the bottom of he West. But in the Chargers defense, they have had a tough 4 games to open the season. It will get no easier as they will face-off against Denver at home.
East
Miami(4-0) GM Androaski was quote a couple weeks back that he liked the way his Dolphins were playing. And they appear to be hitting on all cylinders. But that is not fazing the NY Jets(3-1) as they are right on Miami's heels. Buffalo(1-3) is surprisingly struggling. They were pick by many to contend with Miami for the East title. New England(1-3) has popped into the win column.
North
Cleveland(3-1) lets their guard down with a loss to long time rival Cincinnati(1-3). But Pittsburgh cannot capitalize as they lose their 2nd straight. Baltimore(1-3) takes their 3rd straight loss.
South
The South is just as wild as the West but in a completely different way. Houston(2-1-1) takes control back the South division lead with their 2nd win in a row. As Jacksonville(2-2) drops their 2nd loss while Indianapolis(1-3) and Tennessee(0-4) both continue to struggle, yet their still in the hunt in the early portion of 1980.
NFCEast
Dallas(3-1) losses to KC and a Philly(2-2) win closes the East back up to within a game. Both Washington(0-4) and NY Giants(0-4) are winless.
West
Seattle(4-0) is trying to runaway with the West but Arizona(2-2) is trying to make that tough as they win 2 in a row to stay within 2 games. San Francisco(1-3) and Los Angeles(1-3) are in spoiler mode already.
North
Green Bay(3-1) defeated Detroit(3-1) in a Battle Royale game for the division lead. Minnesota(3-1) bounces back with a big win to knot up an exciting North race. Chicago(1-3) took it on the chin this week with a 61 point loss to the Saints. Ouch
South
Tampa Bay(4-0) continues to pace the South, but Carolina(3-1) and New Orleans(3-1) are not going anywhere soon. The Saints raised some fears throughout Paydirt with their 61-0 trouncing of the Bears. GM's around the league fear that New Orleans GM Mcarovil may have found something. You can beat your season tickets that they will be keeping an eye on the team from the Big Easy.
