He can fit him with 63k to spare. Peanuts would be a 7th 3 years from now and have Beercloud remove the trade meter temporarily.

And again I put in a claim cause 8 other teams failed to remove theirs and was going to try to help the new guy with 76 mil in dead cap. Meat men??

I dont hate anyone.

Make love not war.

The right thing to do would have been let him go unclaimed to Chicago. But you thought it would be better if you could get something back in the process. Now, please enlighten me: how would you trade him back to Chicago for "peanuts" without making him go over the cap?

Some owners in this league hate me without a reason so why not keep him? :)

If Beercloud can remove the trade meter temporarily, let's do it. But I think the IA is going to release him again because Chicago is too close to the salary cap, it's just a therory but it explains why the player got released when he was under the cap.

I had the same Idea..I am pretty sure Damion was thinking about a couple picks. I would have taken peanuts but that's just me and he is learning from me...I can't speak for Damion but I told him that there was a pretty good chance he would be lost.....yes there is hella dead cap here...but that is not Damion's fault. This team has been mismanaged and issued bad contracts for years. an example a 10 yr FB making 17 million per season...he is is Arizona playing for coach norm (counting golf carts FULL of bonus $$!!!!) I think?....his salary...you guessed it $215k. This team hasn't had a winning record since the 73 season. 6 of the last 7 seasons with 5 wins or less. All those low picks...IDK how you explain not being able to trade or draft a winner...not even talking about a freakin LC. A WC or division or something be competative.....and now a guy with less than a month in the game comes along and has a mess to clean up...he knows he has a journey. It's all part of the game if they work something out fine if not that's fine too. One thing I will say, Damion is dedicated and is doing well learning game..just like marinarul was last season. It won't be long before DA BEARS are contenders. Oh yeah, before anyone goes and tells the previous GM I was talking smack on him. This is not the only team. Beercloud & Greyghost have spent the better part of my time in this league cleaning up the messes people have made. Some of you have taken over teams that have been left to rot due to neglect and lack of knowledge for way too long. I Don't want to leave the Chiefs...so I am helping new GM's learn before making those mistakes....Trust me we all have had a team or two in some league that has had cap trouble...it's frustrating as **** at times....yes, he has 76.6 million in dead cap, on the bright side he will have about 58 million to work with next season. at least he will be able to sign his draft picks. He was -27 million after his picks this season.. It would have been easier for him to maybe trade away some picks and players. The problem there is that his trade restriction was i effect until after the draft was over. I had him draft his picks and he kept the best of the bunch that would give him a shot at making a future with this team.........OK, my sermon has concluded please leave some $$ in the collection plate. I will see that it goes to Damion's cap. LMAO! Don't cha just love being in the best league in MFN. thanks beercloud.................................................MM

Here's my thought on this.

I know the situation with Chicago and have had pm's with Damion and MM about this. Damion is a rookie GM as you all know and it sucks that he released the DE by accident. Although he apparently didn't need him after that huge kickoff day beat down that he put on Minnesota who has a very good GM in OT. And I really appreciate everyone going out of their way to help a rookie out. It shows what kind of community MFN has for sure. You guys are the best around by a long shot.

That all being said, Paydirt is not a tutor league by any stretch. Heck you guys can be fired by not performing well. You guys battle it out every season and I see no reason that you guys should have to put your guards down because of a rookies mistake. Damion understands this and is ok with the mistake and stated he is prepared to move on. Just his attitude alone shows me that you guys in the NFC North better buckle up, cause he might develop into a good one.

So I feel this is a rookie mistake and nothing more. Im not going to lift any rules that are in place for two reasons. You guys know me better than that.......jk Ok that isn't a number. But one is, what I stated above that its a rookie mistake and I dont see it as anything other than that. And two, it would be hypocritical of me to do so. Some seasons back setherick asked me to lift the trade limit so he could help out another GM in which that GM made a mistake. setherick's intentions were good but I denied it for the same reason that Im denying this one. I don't want anyone helping anybody else out in this league other than teaching them the game if they need it. Or announcing to the league of any exploits etc to level the playing field. Another reason you guys guys are top notch by the way.

I believe Washington was on top of the waiver list and would've won the claim anyways. So leave everything as it is and focus on kickin your next opponents **** whoever that might be.

We were both online before the sim ran and he had 300k + looking at the trans logs the last player he signed was in preseason wk 2 I think the ai would have corrected before mid week 1.Even so The AI would have taken the player that would save the most $$ and It wasn't Rubinstein...if it is meant to be it will happen. Wow I've got some game plans to do.....MM
