The Paydirt Report: Week 10

There are some good races going on in week 10. There is a division with a 4 team race, 3 divisions with a 3 team race, 2 divisions with a 2 team race and 2 divisions that are essentially locked up. As we dive head long into the final stretch, each game is crucial. There's a scramble for playoff positions which looks like they'll go down to the wire..

The Game of the Week
Miami 37 Houston 31
The defending champs Miami Dolphins showed why they are the defending champs by defeating one of the hottest teams in Paydirt going into week 10. Down 21-3 at the half, the Dolphins scored 34 of their 37 points in the 2nd half comeback win over the Texans. Miami's QB Fisher threw for 36-51 480 yds 4 TD 1 Int to lead the way to victory. Houston's QB Clancy threw for 24-45 473 yds 4 TD 2 Int in not only the game of the week but also the shootout of the week. The win by Miami allows them to hold on to sole possession of the AFC East division lead while the loss did not affect Houston's standing in the AFC South. But that tie breaker might be key at the end of the season when determining who gets a first round bye. We will see. Now on to the rest of the league.

AFC
West
Everyone on the Wild Wild West won this week as this division has really heated up in the last few weeks. Oakland(8-2) remains at the top of the heap with San Diego(7-3) on their heals. Kansas City(6-4) and Denver(6-4) win again to keep the pressure on both the Chargers and the Raiders.

East
Miami's(8-2) win keeps Buffalo(7-3) at bay as the Bills win 3rd in a row. New England(3-7) wins to jump out of a cellar tie with NY Jets(2-8).

North
Cleveland(7-3) opens up a 2 game lead over Baltimore(6-4) with their win and the Ravens loss. Pittsburgh(4-6) goes down to drop 3 games back while Cincinnati(2-7-1) gets salt rubbed into their wounds with a loss to division rival Cleveland.

South
Houston's(8-2) 8 game win streak may have come to an end but their hold on the division did not as Jacksonville(4-6), Indianapolis(3-7) and lowly Tennessee(1-9) all lose.

NFC
East
Washington(7-3) regains the lead in the NFC East in a back and forth battle with NY Giants(6-4) as the Redskins win and the Giants lose. While that's going on defending division champ Dallas(5-5) has closed within 2 games of the lead. Philadelphia's(1-8-1) stuggles continue as they lose their 3rd in a row.

West
Los Angeles(7-3) takes over the division lead in the west with their 6th consecutive win and a loss by Seattle(6-4). This division has gotten pretty exciting over the last few weeks and Arizona(5-5) quietly joined the excitement with their 2nd win in a row. San Francisco(0-10) loses again.

North
Green Bay(9-1) has the division all but locked up but is looking for that home field advantage. Detroit(3-7), Minnesota(3-7) and Chicago(1-9) all lose in week 10 and are in spoiler rolls.

South
Another division that has heated up over the last few weeks. While Tampa Bay(9-1) keeps winning, so does Atlanta(7-3) and New Orleans(6-4) to stay within striking distance of the Bucs Catolina(3-7) suffered another tough defeat this one in overtime against the Cardinals.

Games to watch week 11
Green Bay @ Denver
San Diego @ Miami - Battle Royale
Los Angeles @ Seattle - Battle Royale
Arizona @ Washington
Tampa Bay @ Dallas
Cleveland @ NY Giants

GG Pats. Lost the turnover battle 4-1, or I think it would have been a good game.

Yes, I got lucky with the turnovers. Seems like I've been on the opposite side of that this season. Good game, good luck the rest of the way.

GG OffTaco,

Really feel we let this one slip away and had to settle for a riveting 16-16 tie.

The Zebra`s were once again throwing flags, it seemed on every key play from both teams.

Both the Falcons and Saints seem to be on a charge, gonna be squeaky *** time on the division run in this season.
