yikes. You expect to win some, lose some, and most stay about the same. However, I shouldn't expect to win some anymore.

Round 2 pick = -12
3 = -10
other round 3 = -2
4 = 0
5 = -8
6 = -13
7 = -4

7 picks, a net loss of -49. Ridiculous.

Granted, most were high volatility - but that's supposed to work both ways, right?

Where I'm from "Bunz" is equal to something like "crappy".

Good draft for us. I auto picked round 7 by accident and ended up drafting a QB who was bunz... =)

Picked up a UDFA that busted but the other 5 picks I had for the draft either stayed put or went up so we're happy.

I'm especially pleased with late 6th round pick, RG Anthony Garrison. Drafted at 6.28, it really doesn't get better than this guy with a +5/4 for training camp. It may be a few seasons before he starts but for now he's an excellent guy to rotate in for the starters. I think he's gonna spend this season at guard and then move out to tackle next.

Rudolph Junior CB 3.28 +15/6. Was drafted as depth. Will be a lockdown starter next year. Yeah for one of 9 picks in the first 4 rds.

I could be wrong as I often am..but I believe that the draft has changed. There are less High value "for sure" picks in the opening rounds...and what seems to be more average players..perhaps less of a focus on "the Star player" they are still out there but will be harder to get. I only have 4 teams but in the last 2-3 seasons it seems my middle picks have done better. I am of the opinion if the lower rounds don't produce WHY BOTHER! Lets just cut it of at 4 or 5 rounds and be done with it. Truth is there are some real effective "lower" rated players out there. You have to put in the work to find them. In this league, with so many smart and experienced GM's talent is hard to come by...

First round free agency is Brutal..we pay washed up and mediocre players HUGE sums of money just to outbid another for that last little extra that might help us win. My own example 70 Million for MLB Barstow last season. Yes, He is a solid everyday MLB but In no way a "STAR"!
I needed a replacement for my aging MLB Willis "A STAR" now! (I finished in last place in our division in the '76 season I still picked 22) no other option but to go out and pay to get him. This years FA was Limp or "Bunz" as I now understand means Crappy. So where do you find playrs?

Trades are even tougher. This years draft wasn't over 12 hours before I was offered a trade for my 1981 (next) 1st round pick. The usual offer is something like I want your first round pick and I'll give you an 80+ rated WR with 49 pass catch and 63 Speed and these two other guys with 20% or more retirement and huge salaries, I don't blame anyone. The competition is fierce in this league. Wouldn't want it any other way....Glad to be a part of the league..It all starts up again Tuesday...Lets do it!....MM

WOW I just saw the new post... the Jets...hope Gustoon hasn't left the game for good.;( someone will never be happy with the changes in the game versions..it frustrates the **** of me! Isn't that why we play? competition? who win win? who will beat the odds? who can take over a losing team and turn it around? If the game never changes....always the same we may as well play Madden for nintendo! I don't want that..I feel for him 5/7 rookies busted heart breakers indeed...Best of luck to ya Gustoon...and wlecome otterpop back into the fray! MM

I think everyone is for change, just not as drastic as it has become. It’s one thing to change it but some of the new codes have taken championship teams and made them below average. Now, that is fine too but maybe a little heads up especially at the QB position which is the focal point of the offense. I’m with ya though. It’s a game and adapt and overcome.

The draft is a different ball game and it depends on your take. In the past drafts would be loaded with blue chip players. Almost an entire round worth. Maybe 2. The consensus was to dilute the talent a bit and add some more value to the mid to late rounds. I think it’s be accomplished but a bit too dilute. Bottom line it should benefit the teams that need it the most picking in the top of the draft. Problem is those teams trade their picks for some old dude heading into retirement.

It is pre season. I played my 2nd and 3rd string for 3 quarters to see who is going to make the team. It is a great time to experiment.
